The rest of his classmates or whatever they are either filed out in the middle of this or stuck around a little bit to watch. The one in charge naturally watched until the end, only asking for water.
With the bar empty now, I go back to practicing my cooking, if only a little bit curious what they could do with the staffs. For now I want to see what I can do with rice, I've overlooked it until now since they don't taste nice but what if I cooked them or boiled them?
(Glintstone sorcerer POV)
An anomaly, a seemingly peaceful one from what I could gather though. Fortunately for my students that is, it would be another thing entirely since the door appeared in the middle of my class. He seemed awfully uninformed though, who doesn't know about mead?
Nevertheless, he could prove to be an asset to us assuming the door only appears here. Food and water are hard to come by these days, the lobsters are putting up a fight and the water tastes like Leonard's piss.
For now, we'll remain cautious but we'll permit student usage of his services, provided they can pay.
(00719's POV)
Rice is a genuine godsend, why did the panels not tell me about this! It goes with everything, I steamed it once and it even stuck together and became sweeter! Genuinely revolutionary.
With that done, I'll try and make different sauces. I've only made a tomato one but I imagine there's a wider range available for me to make.
The bell at the door rings, "Coming!" I shout out. I clear away my stuff just to be tidy and walk around to see a man dressed in some weird yellow vagabond outfit with a horse. I look down at him and say, "Welcome to my bar! What can I get you?"
"Oh this is new, any hot food by any chance? It's been a while since I've eaten. I'm Kalé, by the way, do you have anything for my horse here too?" He seemed to just take it all in stride and sat on a bar stool, placing his travel bag on the seat next to him.
"Anything particular in mind? I haven't had the chance to get too many of the meats you're probably familiar with mind you. I'm 00719, nice to meet you. Payment here is accepted with goods, services or currency."
"Do you have boar? It's been a time since I've had boar stew" He said, pulling his mask down and resting his har aside.
"Yeah I've got boar, want a drink whilst it cooks?" We get settled in conversation, telling me about his travels across Caelid and Liurnia, showing me his path on a map. He gave me the chance to trace his full map on a piece of paper myself, just so I have a reference when people are talking about what and where.
As I was pouring out the stew into his bowl, his stories took a sad turn, how his people were left and forgotten. How they were once known as fearsome traders, before they were touched by something known as the flame of frenzy. Now he is journeying to Leyndell to find what he hopes is a still thriving merchant's hub.
"My door is always open when you want a warm meal, they're scattered about all over the place from how it sounds." I marked where on the map the two doors used so far have appeared, one in Liurnia and one in the academy,
"I appreciate it, I'll keep it in mind." For payment he gave me two throwing knives, one rowa fruit and his cookbooks. Though I feel the need to say that crafting arrows isn't my usual definition of cooking but the cured meats do count.
[Reading lv2]
When he was gone I decided to pick up the throwing knives, I might as well try to develop some kind of attack skill incase my door shows up in front of some crazy person. So a dart board showed up on the wall, slightly larger for knife size though.
I practiced for a while until I was semi-consistently actually hitting the board.
[Knife throwing lv2]
For some reason I was fully undisturbed for a while, I can only assume that it's night out so not many will be up and about to find weird secret doors. Which means I might have a chance at testing out all the different seasonings.
I headed to the kitchen to get myself a hunk of beef rump, I cut it up into cubes and each cube was seasoned with a different spice or herb and was pan seared. I felt almost regal as I tried out all the different flavours, walking down the bar table picking them up and letting all the juices settle in my mouth.
[Cooking lv8]
The next morning I was interrupted from my knife throwing to a small group of sorcerers taking a seat in front of me. For once, I use observe on them.

[Observe lv4]
Just the students? I would've thought one would be a teacher.
"Hiya how are you all and what can I get for you?"
"We're here celebrating Sellen passing 3rd year exams with perfect marks, so it's just gonna be a full day of drinking for us" One of them cheered, the Sellen in question just smiled proud of her achievement at least.
Rounds of drinks started, lager was being handed out like they thought it would go extinct. They moved to a table in the corner and I kept bringing the drinks around to them.
About an hour into their session, someone entered through the door. More accurately, something did. A great sized jar with large dark grey limbs walked easily through the door as it expanded for it.
