Drake spawned into the village of Rosha and looked around from where he was standing. He noticed the small town was not very busy. This was abnormal from drakes point of view, in the past a player had managed to convince the king of this empire to name him a baron and bestow on him a noble title and territory. Although he was given this border town next to two very powerful and aggressive neighbors he did manage to hold his city together with merchant crews and player groups. This city had become a gold mine but a criminal paradise at same time, and the person at the helm had already abdicated his title back to the king after the pressure he received from a huge gang in his territory, One of the cool things that this game did was allow players, after a thorough and intense set of challenges and tests of skill, to hold land as nobles and also declare wars just like a normal noble.
Drake remembers the bloody aftermath of the egypt and ethiopian war that was raged in the game that brought about new discoveries and new things the other was mad at, eventually consuming both countries economies so much they had almost no choice but to directly declare war on each other to be able request relief aid.
The village now was a shamble of a mess and no matter how hard drake tried to figure it out, he didn't see how that guy who owned this place in his past life had gotten the manpower of NPC's that he did. He knew for a fact that the NPC's hated staying in that city but according to them 'had no choice but to stay' and wouldn't say anything else. The village was set in a messy string of foot roads between houses and buildings. Homes made of thicket tree branches and Oak logs as well as some stone masonry as weak support on some of the 'bigger' buildings. There was a calming atmosphere around the village but a gloomy and deathly mood coming from the forest surrounding the village.
Drake didn't waste anytime and went straight to the village elders home to let him know he had arrived. Drake walked past all the other villagers who were staring at him in a bit of confusion as walked towards the village elders hut. He walked up to the door and slight knocked on it, and heard a very quiet "come in". Drake entered the elders cabin and saw the older man sitting on his chair, reading a book and smoking something out his pipe. The elder put down the book and looked at drake, not saying anything at first, as if he was sizing him up. The elder then asked drake,"Well, what can I do for ya?". The elder spoke in a very rough voice and it was very disrespectful in his tone as well.
Drake smiled as his plans to gain better events was slowly coming together. He simply cupped his hands, and did a slow bow, and then stood up and put a balled up fist on his chest, the common way the NPC guards showed respect to their lords. Drake did this salute for the chief and said to him," Honoured Elder, I have come from a far away land as a righteous adventurer, and as I was passing by this area I felt a pull of attraction. Something here is telling me you need help and my only wish is to bring peace to any citizen i come across, because that is the way of the kind and the just!" Drake spat all this justice crap to the village elder because this elder was a key figure in a small border war about 40 years ago and put justice for the common people among his top ideals. This information wouldn't come up till about 3 years from now when the first in game war is launched by the devs and the village elder comes out of retirement. He remembers the legends he heard of this man in his past life, how despite being a frail old man, stood at the front of cavalry charges!
The elder then stood up and walked over to drake, with tears in his eyes. "My Boy! I would gladly adopt a young man like yourself if you ever wanted to be my son! Haahaha!!" He bellowed as tears of happiness poured from him. He stopped crying and looked at Drake seriously," You have shown me a great deal of respect, to know of the royal salute just in case and to salute me of all people, a mere village chief with such a grand salute and such impressive words that speak your ideals clearly, very good young man!"
Drake slightly blushed at the compliment the old man had given him and said back to him," well sir village chief if I may, may i ask two small favors while I am recovering here?"
The village chief nodded his head and said,"Sure go ahead"
Drake said,"Well my first request after seeing the peaceful land, the beautiful people, the calming atmosphere, and the sense of adventure just beyond the edge of the woods is citizenship in the wonderful little town"
The village chief was a little taken aback but he nodded his head and said," I can agree to that, I will give you a status as a commoner of this village, what is the second request?"
Drake gave a really long sigh for dramatic effect just to try to nail this last bit home," Well you see sir, there is a reason I said "recovering in this village" earlier. Right now I am Injured internally and I will need 2 days to fully heal the rest of my injuries." The village chief nodded his head every now and then to give confirmation that he understood."Well Sir Chief, I escaped here after getting out of a naga dungeon!"
The chief looked at him and said,"What did you lose to escape?"
Drake suddenly looked very sad and emotional after the chief asked him that question. Drake started crying and he slumped to his knees while holding his sobbing face," I had to give up what I valued the most, my swordsmanship! All 10 years of experience and memories are gone! Sir, what do I do?" He said through shallow breath and heavy tears as the chief looked on and he could feel his heart breaking for the young man.
The Chief looked at Drake and said to him,"Let me train you once more.." The elder said in a soothing and comfortable voice.
Drake looked up at the chief and said,"Sir Chief, were you a warrior??"
The chief then stopped what he was doing and thought about it and started pacing back and forth before looking over at the weak and still crying drake. Drake was practically begging him for an answer at this point. The chief then turned around and said to Drake," Will you, Drake Silver, take the [Oath of Master and Student] with me, Isaiah the Conqueror, and become my student?"
Drake looked at him in shock and suddenly a notification popped up in front of him and it said [Do you accept NPC 'Isaiah the Conqueror' as your Martial teacher?] [Y/N]. Drake Immediately clicked the yes button and then said to Isaiah "Yes Master! I accept this Oath! Teach me your way!"

Drake left Isaiah's cabin and looked back with a terrified look and thought to himself,'Shit! What did I do wrong there?! After I tell him I don't have my power anymore he's supposed to recommend I go to the capitol and train for 3 weeks there to hone 'Sir Wake's' Swordsmanship! But then one of the most influential people in the first great war for Adella just so happens to choose me as his successor which he never did in the past world I lived in!' Drake thought to himself while he walked. He had a calm face as he walked over to the armoury to ask about the rates and such. Drake thought,' Ok, lets calm down, one plan has slightly gone off the rail but if this master of mine is so powerful then the tier for his combat style must be better than the rare I was going for!'
Drake thought about this and it suddenly made perfect sense, while this strategy did prove to be an effective method for roughly 100 people to gain a powerful class, after that the way you got the class and where the chief would send you would change constantly. Drake was attempting to get a Rare Combat Class called the "Battle Mage". It was basically a warrior who can use mana like a mage. It was extremely overpowered in the early game but after a few years it was found that the battle mage class has a weak stamina and defense quota in the late game. So It was usually used as a trump card, Oh the tank is attacking the wizard? Wrong, he just attacked a battle mage.
