Mandy sniffed and she blinked while she was being released and she looked around as the officers stepped back.
"You… you released me?" asked Mandy as she could not believe it.
"I knew that you would never be able to do something like this on your own" said Natasha with a scoff as Chloe just looked shocked she could not believe this at all.
"You aren't going to press charges?" asked Mandy with her tear filled eyes.
"Not just yet, call him" said Natasha in a tone that showed she did not want her time to be wasted any longer.
"Who?" asked Mandy as she feigned ignorance.
"Don't act dumb Mandy, call him now" said Natasha as Mandy nodded and the office handed her handbag to her as she got her phone and dialed a number as it rung.
"Give it" said Natasha as Mandy handed her phone over to her.
"Mandy where in the world are you? I am leaving home right now" came Willy's irritated voice from the other side of the line as he answered the call.
"Oh so Mandy was not lying, you both are truly dating" said Natasha as Willy stared at his phone as he heard her voice and cursed internally.
"Mrs. White, what a surprise for me to hear your voice" replied Willy as he got himself together.
"I can't say the same for you Mr. Chestnut" replied Natasha.
"Where is Mandy? And why do you have her phone?" asked Willy.
"Mandy won't be able to reply to you right now Mr. Chestnut" said Natasha.
"You know, I never thought you would stoop so low as to use your own girlfriend to do your dirty work for you and try to destroy your competition" said Natasha as Willy cursed.
"That woman, I can't believe she did this to me" said Willy in anger, he should have known that Mandy would have no backbone and run him over.
"You can't blame her Mr. Chestnut, after all it was either she told the truth, or got arrested" said Natasha as she looked at Mandy who was still crying silently.
"I can't believe that you a grown man would result to dirty tactics" said Natasha.
"Tell me, is it by force to start a partnership with you?" asked Natasha in irritation.
"I bought this company fair and square, with my own money, this no longer belongs to you" said Natasha.
"The fact that you would play dirty and send your brainless girlfriend to set fire to a project that cost millions of dollars" said Natasha.
"Mandy can go to jail for all I care" replied Willy.
"Oh you see, do you hear that Mandy? The boyfriend you committed a crime for does not care if you go to jail" said Natasha as she looked at Mandy with a smile as Mandy cried and looked away as Chloe shook her head.
"I know Mandy wouldn't be able to pull off something like this on her own, you are the one at fault here, and she is too since she was dumb enough to do it for you" said Natasha.
"What do you want?" asked Willy as he sighed.
"It's simple, either you stay a jerk and you refuse to own up to what you did, I will take you to court" said Natasha.
"And trust me, you are not going to win, the evidence is piled up against you, and I am sure dear Mandy would love to testify in my favour" said Natasha as Willy was regretting getting Mandy involved in this, she did not waste a chance to betray him.
"Court would be bad publicity for both our companies" said Willy.
"I don't care, I know I am right, and I will win, it would be bad publicity for you not me" replied Natasha.
"What is the second option?" asked Willy as he did not want a case like this to ruin the new business he just started.
"The second option is that you pay for all the damages you caused by that little fire stunt you pulled" said Natasha.
"You can't expect me to pay for all of that!" said Willy as he knew those would be millions that he did not have right now.
"Well it's your choice, choose the option you want, just know that I am ready to go to court and win" said Natasha as Willy scoffed and sighed.
"I have all the time in the world Mr. Chestnut, so give me your reply when you are ready… in the meantime I will have my lawyer contact your lawyer with details of the hearing date and allegations against you" said Natasha.
"Alright, fine, fine, I will pay a compensation" said Willy.
"Good, I will send you a list of total damages and you will pay for everything" said Natasha as she heard Willy scoff in anger.
"Nice doing business with you Mr. Chestnut" replied Natasha with a smile as Willy ended the call in anger and Natasha handed Chloe back her phone.
"I am sure I don't need to tell you that you are fired?" asked Natasha as she looked at Mandy who nodded timidly.
"Good, Mandy you are fired, next time you will learn not to follow men who want revenge" said Natasha.
"I expected more from you, guess I was wrong" said Natasha with a scoff.
"Thank you for helping me" said Natasha as she smiled at the officers.
"No problem" replied the officers with a smile.
"Come on Chloe" said Natasha as Chloe followed after her.
…
The next morning.
"Good morning Mommy!!" said Joy as Natasha entered into the dining room with a yawn.
"Good morning my baby" replied Natasha as she gave Joy a kiss on the cheek and Joy giggled.
"Good morning Natasha" said Dom.
"Morning" replied Natasha as she sat down next to Joy.
"Mommy what do you want to eat?" asked Joy with a smile.
"Let me steal your toast my darling" replied Natasha as she ate Joy's toast and Joy giggled.
"No fair mommy, let me get you your own" replied Joy as she pushed out her dining chair and walked out of the dining room to the kitchen.
Dom looked at Natasha as he drank his coffee, he didn't like the gross silence between them once Joy was gone.
"So Lulu told me that you found out who started the fire" said Dom as Natasha looked at him.
"Lulu must have been very chatty for her to tell you about that" said Natasha.
"Well yes, she was, but I wanted to know what was going on" said Dom.
"Hmm, well everything is solved now" replied Natasha.
"Well that's good" said Dom.
"When did you speak to Lulu?" asked Natasha.
"Last night" replied Dom as that made sense, she spoke to Lulu when she got back from the farm.
"I see" said Natasha.
"She's excited about that trip, too much that I had to remind her that she's there for business not pleasure" said Dom as he shook his head.
"Oh just leave her be, Charlie's with her, besides, she knows when to work and when to play" replied Natasha as Dom had to agree that was true.
"Here mommy" said Joy as she walked into the dining room and brought Natasha a plate of toast.
"Oh why thank you my darling, you are the best" said Natasha as Joy giggled and she sat down on her seat.
"My princess, finish your breakfast so I can drop you off at school" said Dom with a smile as Joy nodded.
"Mommy, daddy I have a question" said Joy as she looked at Natasha.
"What's your question my darling?" asked Natasha with a smile.
"Mommy, Daddy, where do babies come from?" asked Joy as she asked the question that had been on her mind for a long time now.
Dom choked on his coffee as he started to cough violently and both Natasha and Joy turned to look at him.
"Daddy are you okay?" asked Joy in worry as Dom nodded, as he drank some water, he was just taken aback by her sudden unexpected question.
"Are you sure daddy? You are still coughing?" asked Joy in worry as Dom nodded as Natasha glared at Dom, she felt like he was overreacting.
"I am fine princess really" replied Dom with a smile as he stopped coughing.
"Daddy, were you coughing because of my question?" asked Joy with her big wide eyes as Dom froze.
"Oh of course not my darling, he must have been drinking too fast" said Natasha.
"Yes my princess I was drinking too fast" replied Dom with a smile and Joy did not seem too convinced.
"My darling, there is nothing wrong with your question" said Natasha as Joy looked at her and Dom shook his head violently as she frowned at him.
Joy was not stupid enough not to see that her mother was glaring at her father, her question was definitely wrong, she should not have asked.
"Mommy, I am going to wash my hands" said Joy.
"Alright my darling" replied Natasha with a smile as Joy left the dining room and Natasha turned to look at Dom with an angry gaze.
"Just what the heck is wrong with you?" she asked in a mix of irritation and disbelief as she tried her best to keep her voice down because she did not want Joy to hear this conversation.
