Amidst a storm raging with different elements a black haired man was standing with a calm expression on his face. This man was shirtless and only wore white pants to cover his lower half. His body had no wounds and looked like he was just taking a walk in the park.
"Kaelestis, to think you'll grow so fast." A figure of a man with bright orange hair came to view. In his hand he wielded a longsword, from whose edge dripped scorching lava.
The figure of the black haired man disappeared with a flash and appeared behind the orange haired guy and slashed with his black sword which had striking golden runes running over the entire blade.
The black haired man didn't stop and kept slashing from multiple different angles. Blood gushed out from wounds but didn't fall on the ground because it was soon vapourised by the ability of the orange haired man.
[Aura of flame god]
The orange haired man muttered as highly concentrated flames covered his figure and every wound healed as the black haired man next to him started laughing and a milky white aura emitted from his body. The orange haired man swung his blade in a backward motion only to disappear a moment later. He reappeared behind Ryan and pushed his fist forward.
Ryan smirked and dodged his attack the moment Kai's fist was about to make contact with his body and stabbed Kai with a twin headed spear which upon impact developed spikes to pierce Kai's vitals.
Kai was assaulted by immense pain but forcefully took the spiky spear head out of his chest and moved back to create some distance. His wounds healed immediately after Ryan's weapon left his body.
Kai was enraged and decided to finish this fight as fast as possible. A magic circle spanning 300 metres appeared in front of him as he muttered "Descent of the magma dragon."
Ryan saw this and smiled and used water magic to create a huge ring of water beside him. He looked at Kai who was rapidly using mana to complete the summoning. Soon, a huge limbless dragon appeared out of the magic circle and let out a deafening roar.
The dragon was releasing a bright light and immense heat which made the area around them really hot. Both Kai and Ryan weren't bothered by the sudden rise in temperature.
The ring of water behind Ryan turned into a huge mirror which had a clear reflection of the dragon on its surface. Ryan's face turned serious while he said "Kai, do you know why you never defeated me despite being stronger?"
Kai's mood turned really sour after looking at the reflection of his dragon summon on the mirror. He knew the nature of this spell and was worried that the thing that haunted him for 7 nights straight would happen again.
"Ryan, this is cheating. You can't use spells like these while training." Kai wanted to reason with Ryan who didn't bother focusing on anything he said.
Kai knew his words were falling on deaf ears so he waved his hand forward, signalling the dragon to move forward.
"Empowered reflection." Ryan muttered in a low voice which caused a drastic change in the mirror. A magma dragon similar to the one Kai summoned, plunged out to counter the incoming spell.
Two terrifying roars resounded which caused the cave-like structure to tremble violently. Both Kai and Ryan engaged in close range fight while the dragons collided and resulted in a Massive explosion. The destruction was mutual.
Ryan spun his twin headed spear to make continuous slashes on Kai's body. Kai was barely managing to block Ryan's attack which seemed to gain more power as the fight prolonged.
Ryan thought that this was enough for today and chose his final move. A few hundred magnum bullets appeared around Kai, blocking his escape path. Kai also knew about these bullets which were capable of melting a person's body until nothing was left. This attack was Ryan's personal favourite.
Kai could do only one thing in this situation. It will cost him a lot of mana but that's the only way he can evade these homing bullets. A burst of mana came from Kai whose body started to move weirdly as the upper layer of his turned scaly and started separating from Kai's body.
Kai saw the bullets reaching point blank as he shed his skin to move a few hundred metres back to stay away from the small hazards. Kai was standing on the ground, his breath was erratic and he could barely stand. Kai shed skin which he could only do once a month and it even took a lot of mana.
His skin was currently being melted by many small explosions as he looked at Ryan who was smiling innocently at him.
"You win." Kai unwillingly said as Ryan started laughing, seemingly putting salt on his wounds.
"But Kai, you still didn't give me an answer. Oh well let it be, you are dumb anyway." Ryan's body disappeared with this remark.
Kai suddenly felt a presence near the entrance of the cave-like arena. It was none other than Ryan who was leaning on the wall behind him.
"Well you are a muscle head through and through." Ryan sighed in disappointment.
Kai realised that this whole time they were not fighting and it was just Ryan Messing with his consciousness.
"Oh just so you know this, that dress suits you the best." Ryan left the arena while yawning.
Kai looked down, only to see himself wearing a ball dress.
"Well I always look good, no matter what I wear." Kai checked his dress with a smile on his face.
What a narcissist.
Outside the colosseum like arena Ryan finally released his spell which he casted long before he started sparring with Kai. The whole arena burst into different hues of destruction. The majestic place turned into rubles in mere seconds.
This spell was meant for the arena itself. Ryan resented this building more than he hated pizza with pineapple toppings.
The whole pocket dimension looked a lot different now. Before it felt empty and lacked character but now when he looked around he saw vegetation of different kinds accompanied by harmless animals and insects. The mountain was surrounded by sakura trees from which cherry blossoms were spreading their beauty and delicate aura.
The air itself was more lively than before and all of these changes were brought by Ryan who felt that the land was being wasted and they should plant some trees. You can say this was a paradise made by him.
He was enjoying the scenery for the last time before he left this place. For now.
A beautiful mid century castle came to his view which was the place he was staying for a few decades. This castle was Selene's idea who liked mid century stuff.
Ryan sped up, leaving the beautiful castle behind, only taking fond memories with him. He reached the portal in a minute and saw Selene and Tia waiting for him.
He landed before Selene and Tia and said "Your disciple needs to improve his mental strength."
Tia smirked and said in a mocking tone "You speak like you are not my student."
"I don't remember Calling you my master, Sweetie." Ryan chuckled lightly.
"Selene, take care of them for me." Ryan said before kissing her forehead.
"I will but please be safe out there." Selene hugged Ryan and was unwilling to leave him alone.
"I understand." He said while patting her head lightly.
"Tia, I am ready." He said with a resolute expression on his face.
Tia nodded her head and a communication amulet. She touched a small gemstone in it and it started glowing. She kept that active until they felt a presence near the portal. Soon, a light green portal opened, barely enough for Ryan to pass through.
He said his final goodbyes to both of them and entered the portal. His vision turned blurry for a while until he found himself outside the same door from which he entered the pocket dimension.
"Welcome back, Master." Jessica greeted Ryan with a bow.
"Give me the basic information about the whole mess." Ryan said before he booped her nose lightly.
"Y-yes." Jessica started to explain the general framework of the situation until they reached Selene's room.
He entered the room with light steps, he felt strong nostalgia from this room and took a deep breath. He then walked towards the bed and crouched down to grab a black box kept beneath it.
He put the box on a table near the couch and opened it carefully. A bright ray of light escaped the box and Ryan slowly opened it to see the contents inside.
The box had a ring which was made of a shiny metal only found on the moon. Ryan wore it on his ring finger and looked at the blue gemstone embedded on it.
Despite the room being almost dark, the platinum like ring was still perfectly visible. Ryan smiled and left the room with slow steps.
Ryan came out of the room and saw Jessica waiting for him right outside. He looked at her and asked "Tell Albert to meet me a week later."
After discussing a few things with her Ryan flew off towards his home.
Ryan while flying, saw the condition of the city which was completely down to rubles.
All of this in a single day, how terrifying would it have been for the humans.
Ryan saw multiple beasts roaming around but didn't bother killing them. The air too felt a bit rotten around the area. The corrosion was affecting the surrounding area.
Ryan landed near his house or should I say the remains of his home. He felt hurt, the place where he had many fond memories with his parents was utterly destroyed. If he had not known that his parents were safe and doing well, he would have committed a massacre on this planet.
"I'll pay you back, I don't know who you are, where you are, but I'll hunt you down." Ryan left with a bang, not wanting to see the condition of his home anymore.
He flew off towards the west where he sensed his mother. He tried to find his sister and father but for some reason he couldn't.
It didn't take long for him to see a city, tall buildings with a futuristic design. The entire city was surrounded by a wall which stood at 500m. The walls were made to keep the monsters out. Although the city itself was not safe and was homing quite a few time bombs but it was still safe to be inside, rather than wandering these Wastelands.
The city itself went very wide and was providing shelters to almost 65 million people. Washington became a common attraction for people whose states were destroyed.
Ryan neared a mansion which had multiple guards keeping watch of the place. He felt that his mother was inside that building so he landed outside the mansion.
The guards immediately went into full alert because they never saw anyone fly. They raised their weapons towards Ryan and asked "What business do you have here?"
"I am Ryan Miller, I want to meet my mom." He said in a calm tone and didn't get furious at people who were just doing their jobs.
"He's lying." One of them fired his gun at Ryan who just stood there in confusion.
These weapons were not normal and were powered by a basic mana circuit. Quite fascinating but these weapons cannot harm Ryan.
"Attack." The guy with a thick beard said in a furious tone.
All of them fired their weapons at once, multiple rays of blue light hit Ryan's body and dust flew around.
"Such weak weapons won't even work on most." His voice resounded which terrified every guard standing there. The dust settled and Ryan's figure came to view, unscathed and completely fine.
...…..
As you may have noticed, there was a time skip in this chapter. I will not completely dump everything that happened during it because it will be boring to read. I'll slowly reveal important events that happened in the pocket dimension.
