Why Zoro Close His Left Eye

The World Beyond the Eye

In a world where the threads of myth and reality intervene, 17-year old Ezekiel Rhea finds himself thrust into an unknown land after a catastrophic event. The result of an ancient war between powerful mythologies from the Outer Realm, this catastrophe has reshaped the very fabric of the worlds, tearing apart the boundaries between realms and sending Ezekiel into a new world teeming with magic, divine beings, and strange powers. However, Ezekiel is no ordinary soul. With no innate power of his own, he is an anomaly in a land where everyone awakens unique abilities through a strict, level-based system. Yet, Ezekiel possesses a strange, powerful gift: the ability to mimic any skill, power, or ability he encounters if he knows its origin. This enigmatic gift, manifested through a single, otherworldly eye, allows him to copy powers, skills, and knowledge, but at a cost. As Ezekiel struggle to survive in this unfamiliar world, he enrolled in a academy called Aetherfall Academy, a prestigious academy for the gifted. Here, he is introduced to a society governed by the strong, those who represents the world's mightiest factions. Among these factions are the pillars, seven individuals who embody the greatest strength in the world. Caught in a web of factional politics, divine machinations, and the clash of ancient mythologies, Ezekiel's journey is one of discovery, power, and inner turmoil. As he navigates alliances, rivalries, and the complexities of his newfound abilities, Ezekiel must confront the reality of his unique gift: it may hold the key to either the destruction or salvation of this fractured world. The question is, will he remain the boy who came from the end of one world, or become the harbinger of a new beginning for all? In a world on the brink of rebirth, Ezekiel Rhea will have to decide whether to fight for humanity's future or become the very force that brings it to an end,.

I decided to write this story since it has been on my mind for years now. I've always been daydreaming about certain stories, characters and such for a long time, and now I finally decided to try writing for the first time. I wish I could've drawn this story, but I'm bad at drawing so that won't happen anytime soon. I would also like to mention that English is not my first language so expect some errors here and there. HOWEVER I am trying my best to fix it [rewriting certain sections, grammar, typos and such]. I also appreciate criticism, tips and/or tricks on how I could improve this story/writing. Also most parts in this story might seem confusing, but that is intentional. That's just how this story goes. Everything that might seem confusing now will get an explanation later on. There might have some parts where I have a massive skill issue, but most are intentional. One last thing I would like to mention is that, I'm not 100% sure about the tags. I added what seemed to be reasonable, but that could also change in the future.)

Eye of the Needle: Into the Reikai

Faith, fear, and fury. The strongest, most inalienable things that make us human. While the people of the world learn and grow, they shed feeling and emotion as time passes. Much like how matter cannot truly be destroyed, the energies of these sentiments never dissipates. Instead, it feeds beings born of all types of things, from ancient cultural followings to widespread societal discourse. In turn, these beings give back to the world--for better or worse. After the traumatic incident of his father's death, young DeMain is thrust into a world of turmoil and a hidden people right under the world's nose. As he harnesses a rare and unique ability gifted to him in exchange for his suffering, his view of the world unravels as he converges with others given the gift of Witchblood, an ability to see and interact with spirits. This book will take on its narrative based on the first-person views of three separate protagonists. I will remind those reading that 'protagonist' does not equate to 'hero' in all cases. A forewarning: This story includes many heavy themes and I felt the need to write them with the reality of how they happen. As such, be cautious. This book contains mentions of sexual assault, murder, violence, substance abuse, and overall conflict. There are also quite a varied amount of scenes with some 'gross' aspects to them. Though I imagine this would only affect those with vivid imaginations, you deserve to be warned regardless. Updates will done be once weekly if not more. (Things are subject to edits and changes!)
