Chapter 15 - Accident in the Castle

She had always thought that her gambler father sold her to the Jackson family instead of Dora because of his partiality.

She never thought that it was Dora's idea.

Regretting that she had accidentally telling the truth, Dora muted abruptly, tapped Susie on the shoulder and smiled, "My dear sister, I did this for you. The Jackson family is the most prominent in Veks Town. If you are lucky and meet a noble person there, you will have a bright future. At that time, I will benefit from your association."

Susie turned sideways to avoid her tap, and asked coldly, "Since there are so many benefits, why don't you come yourself?"

"I'm not like you. I've got Peter and he treats me well. I can't live up to him." Dora's eyes glowed with happiness and sweetness.

Peter was Dora's current boyfriend and immediate boss.

Susie understood Dora sent her to the Jackson family for the purpose of letting her find a wealth, prestigious husband.

Straight to the point, she said, "Miss Taylor, you need you to withdraw my separation report. I request a one-month suspension."

Dora instantly assumed a serious work attitude, and said coldly, "I'm sorry, but the answer is no. People are lining up to do this job. The company can't wait a month for you."

Susie sneered in her heart. Dora hadn't even married Peter yet, and she'd already worrying about the company's interests. It seemed that Dora was determined to be Mrs. Murphy.

Since childhood, Dora had been doing things with a strong sense of purpose.

Susie paused and negotiated, "Well then, half a month. I promise to come back in half a month."

"No, you have at most a week!" Dora had no regard for sisterhood.

Susie thought of her mission. One week was not enough. "Ten days, I need 10 days."

Dora smiled, "Deal! You have up to 10 days of suspension!"

Only then did Susie realize that she had been fooled. She gave Dora a thumbs up and said, "You are a good dealer, sis!"

"Give brother a call when you have time," Dora said when Susie was about to leave. "He cried all day and just wants to see you."

"Got it." Susie's answer was not perfunctory. After all, her brother was the only person closest to her at home.

It was close to dinner time, since Kain didn't need to eat, Susie planned to eat at the servant restaurant in the villa.

She noticed that there were fewer servants in the villa today than before, and they all avoided making eye contact with her.

After dinner with doubts, she left the villa, headed for the Black Wood, and saw of a wisp of black smoke coming out of the woods. It was coming out of the castle!

She suddenly understood the strange behavior of the servants. It's because of Kain! Something bad must have happened to him.

She rushed towards the black smoke without hesitation.

The open space in front of the castle was already crowded with servants, and in the center of the crowd stood Mrs. Jackson.
