Chapter 8 - My Food

After washing, Kain fumbled for the doorknob and walked out of the bathroom. He immediately scent a familiar odour near the sofa. "Haven't you left yet?" he asked, frowning.

Susie got up from the sofa at once and put the freshly heated breakfast on the table. "Mr. Jackson, I need to help you with your dining."

"Humph!" Kain snorted and teleported to her. With a wave of his hand, the food on the table went into the trash can.

"Mr. Jackson," Susie said angrily. "That's your only breakfast."

"So what?"

Susie took a deep breath, thinking that she must not let him starve to death before she realized her mission. "Mr. Jackson, someone like you who grew up with a golden spoon in his mouth will never know that there are many people in this world suffering from starvation."

Kain gave her a strange look, and then said stiffly, "I don't need to eat these."

Susie sighed. It's really not easy to wait on him.

"Well, what would you like to eat, Mr. Jackson?"

"I don't eat." Kain said in a hoarse voice while glancing at her neck.

Susie stood there in a daze. Suddenly, a thought occurred to her and her face turned pale.

The same sore and numb as last night hit her again. She stepped back to a corner and said, "Mr. Jackson, since you don't need to eat, I'll leave you alone." Before seeing the expression on Kain's face, she run out of his room.

After returning to her bedroom, Susie began to seriously consider the necessity of moving to another room. She didn't want to live next to such a monster that could devour her at any time.

Just as she was about to pack, there was a sound from downstairs. The workers sent by Daphne came.

She led the workers to Kain's bedroom, arranged several workers to help Kain downstairs, and then instructed the rest to pound the wall.

To her surprise, Kain was very cooperative from beginning to end. He left his bedroom with the help of workers without getting angry or resisting.

It took a whole day to install a window. Susie sent the workers away and then went to thank Mrs. Jackson. When she returned to the castle, she saw an unhappy scene.

Buck, the youngest son of Daphne, was hiding behind a sofa, shooting stones at Kain with a slingshot in his hand.

Kain's forehead was full of bumps. He was furious, but he couldn't find Buck.

Shoop! A stone was almost hit the corner of Kain's eye.

Buck was about to shoot another stone.

"Stop!" Susie panicked and stepped forward immediately.

Buck turned his head and saw that it was Susie. "How dare you command me! Bitch!" He said disdainfully.

"I'm the maid sent by your mommy." Buck snorted. Susie straightened her chest and said coldly with a straight face, "Why are you here alone? Does your mommy know? Believe it or not, I can tell your mommy on you right now."

Buck looked Susie up and down with disdain, and then laughed out loud like he heard a joke. His face was immature but full of arrogance. Pointing at Kain with his slingshot, he said, "I've never admitted that he was my brother. As for you, you are just a slave to our family. Even if you kneel down to lick my feet, you'll have to ask for my permission."

What a bastard!

Susie took a deep breath, and then said patiently, "I repeat, please leave here now!"
