Chapter 5 - Get Permission

As the eldest son of the Jackson family, Kain was regarded as a monster and abandoned by his entire family, which made Susie think of some rumors about the Jacksons.

It was said that Kent once had a beloved wife who died suddenly not long after their marriage. Kent was deeply saddened and announced that he would never marry. But then there was an economic crisis in the Jacksons, and Kent marry Miss Daphne Hall under the pressure of his family. After marriage, Daphne gave birth to two sons and a daughter.

However, less than three months after Kent's death, she married Ryan.

Kain's grudge against Daphne made him break Daphne's eldest son's leg and blinded himself.

Buck skipped away with his schoolbag on his back. The room was quiet again. Daphne leaned on the chair, holding a cup of coffee with her slender white right hand. She gave Susie a charitable look, "Now, what trouble did that guy make?"

Daphne didn't even want to say Kain's name.

"No, Mrs. Jackson. I'm here to ask for your permission to install a window in Mr. Kain Jackson's bedroom."

Daphne looked at Susie like a fool. It was just a trivial thing about a window, besides, Daphne didn't care at all whether there were windows or not in Kain's bedroom.

"It's your business, why bother asking me?" Daphne asked before taking a sip of her steaming coffee.

It seemed that Mrs. Jackson was going to stand by. Given the hatred between Kain and Daphne, it made perfect sense that Daphne didn't take the initiative to care about Kain. Susie thought to herself.

But she was afraid that what she just said would make Mrs. Jackson think she was with Kain. "Mrs. Jackson, Kain almost strangled me in the castle last night," Susie said as she showed Daphne the bruises on her neck.

Daphne looked at the bruises for a few seconds before made a nonchalant sound "Oh". She then said, "That's him. It's a bless that you are still alive. You'll get used."

"But I was kicked out and could no longer continue the mission that master Ryan gave me," Susie said with an embarrassed expression. "Mrs. Jackson, if you could lend me a hand, perhaps I can gain Kain's trust and there may be a turnaround in the mission."

Daphne lowered her head and pondered for a while. She knew clearly what Ryan had been secretly planning. In the past three years, he had never stopped sending new people to the castle, but those who were sent in went either mad, moronic or dying. Apparently, Susie was an exception.

If I could help Ryan with his secret plan, my position in the Jacksons would be more stable, Daphne thought to herself.

"Mrs. Jackson, you can't imagine how messy and smelly Kain's bedroom is! If I could install a window for him, he'd take me for God!"

"Well then, go ahead, do what you say."

After Susie left, Daphne called Mr. Gray and told him something.

Susie had just walked out of the villa, Mr. Gary called her from behind. He put something in her hand and said, "Miss Taylor, from now on, you are responsible for delivering meals to the castle. This is Mrs. Jackson's order."

Susie was very happy to have the opportunity to deliver meals, which meant she didn't have to be trapped in the castle every day.

Her eyes swept to a corner at the bottom of the hamper. There was a sharp dagger. Susie exclaimed, "Mr. Gray!"
