Kane Huxley backstepped Terrabull, as he dropped on the arena, the ground crumbled and he snorted.
"Thas it, just keep comin' you blowhard"
He said waving the red cape, he charged and Maelstrom flicked it off boosting up to the edge while Terrabull crashed into the barrier where his horns pierced it and he growled pushing out, the cracks expanded as he struggled to pull out with his might.
Maelstrom dropped raising his battle axe to sever his head off and it rolled over, his headless body, meandered, wobbled and dropped with a thud.
"Huh" He landed behind him and trod over to crush his head, flicking out the Topyx jewel grinning "Now that's what I call a diamond in the rough"

The beasts stopped cheering for a moment, he paused when the gates rumbled open with dogs running through, they looked like coyotes and aviator cats with their long ears had tassels that detected sound waves standing upright.
Their tawny skin appeared darker around their doggish faces, but had the pale eyes of the cat, they possessed sharp teeth, strong upper bodies with strong sharp front legs and claws and scrawnier hind legs, their long tail flicked and they lingered beside him as The Xeric knights came in to wrap a green cape around his shoulders and he looked up at the diadem. "Not bad"
"Don't grow so complacent yet, champion" His eyes bulged at Sebastian staring indifferently at the mess and shook his head at Terrabull. The place was at a standstill while he walked in their midst.
Maelstrom/ Kane's shoulders rumbled as he laughed at Sebastian "You bastard,"
"You'll thank me someday, but first things first"
Sebastian smirked deviously and faded and the crowd started to move again.
Monteberg wraiths glided inside snarling causing the beasts to run from the arena, hollering. Some wraiths phased through the beasts and they froze, a plague spread through their bodies and they crumbled.
Their timing seemed perfect and Maelstrom clenched his hand on the Topyx, their ghoulish veiled heads veered around at him and they flew downwards after it like a magnet, he sliced one into obscurity and raised the Topyx, it glowed and a magic dust outline of an hourglass appeared spinning and they lagged, not moving as fast as they were before_ like slaves to the pressures of time_ the rough ends of their cloaks fluttered as they persisted to get to him and Maelstrom's eyes flashed leaping up to spin and cut them "Hah!!"
...
Eve O'Hara- Grisla
She rode on Ox-Snout, the batdragon, her black hair fluttered gazing at more wraiths coming.
Ox-Snout tilted avoiding wraiths hovering toward her, the place started to become misty and she knew she was close to the village.
She knelt on the dragon and shot as many lavarros she could wield, sweat dripped down her temple and she stirred as Ox-Snout started to sink then gulped as the wraiths spiralled around each other in an obscure fashion, the smoke blurred her vision until she was looking at a mega wraith, its ghastly mouth opened behind its veil stretching its claw at her.
Ox-Snout screeched flapping in its grip and she fell off into the fumes, her jacket fluttered in the breeze, her eyes drifted as she passed out from the drop and she gasped waking up in the rush as she plummeted toward the spikes that threatened to impale her, reaching down for her Lavarro, it slipped from her grip, blowing off_ Oh shit.
She dropped into the spikes and laid still, her head turned to lay in the midst of the spikes while ashes fell, her leg was bent at an unnatural angle.
She could numb off the pain but nothing said different about the wraith hovering, an upward force drew the Rubinet gem from her possession. The gem floated and she gripped it, it stirred and trembled with force, from it, violent strings of ashes and fire blasted in a rocky fashion against the giant wraith and it screeched and recoiled closing its face in its grimy claws, she stepped up and broke off a spike from the ground and poised like a javelin thrower and threw it, it disappeared when the spike hit and hit the ground.

She huffed, using another spike like a cane to hobble toward Ox-Snout, her leg was destroyed and he steamed on the ground, shrivelling, he gave out an agonizing squeak and his ox snout flared, spilling out mucus. But he amped up and shivered pushing up on his limbs. She had never seen anything so noble despite its wounds.
Given that she nearly lost the Rubinet to a bunch of minions didn't settle with her, her hand closed over it, next time. Her head turned at the field of ashes and the eerie silence in the fog as if another wraith would appear, her breath quickened and her panel logged on, the black serpent on the ring unravelled and it collected the Rubinet that shrunk cradled in the serpent's head and tail, wide enough to contain it on her wrist now.
It flickered a bright red and the place started to crack up and she saw a giant wraith emerge screeching and gasped opening her eyes in the cradle, she shuddered under the helmet and wires, sweating, her pale hands were no longer bound and she blinked at the lights. Lurching as the guards took her out.
"Subject number 3 is offline"
She coughed as if her head was put into a bucket of steaming liquid and covered with a towel, she came out relieved and they set her down.
She held her knees and discovered them to be knobby again, her dark eyes rolled over to him standing over her, she shuddered and her pale cheeks hollowed.
"Well congratulations, O'Hara, you happen to be one of the first to come out of the game,"
She glanced at the panel with her scores on it, obtaining the Rubinet, surely she was graced exclusively by protecting the gem to be on top.
"I had the gem, why didn't I wake up?"
"You need to steer clear of your enemies first before you can truly win, otherwise it's just a heist." He shrugged "Plus, you only just got underway. The audience needed more action."
She glared at him
"How does it feel?" He asked and she took his hand getting up.
"Great" She confessed darkly.
Eve O'Hara always had to live bedridden with her deteriorating health, she didn't expect the tournament to be as severe as to involve medical tests.
The trauma of waking up to a sad reality that was not as adrenaline-pumping as inside the game was depressing, breaking a leg had never felt good either. She touched the back of her head and swayed. She was starting to worry about being a junkie or having a pain kink.
"I need some aspirin"
"Forgive my friends for the hit, I'm sure you'll be given the best treatment for the head pains and need I remind you... this isn't a charity," He said in a stern voice and her eyes rounded then her hands dropped to her side.
"I don't want your charity," She said eyeing him.
Eve O'Hara was wary of people feeling sympathy for her, it only reminded her of certain death, her appearance was starting to give away her poor health but she already started up
