up chemotherapy, the doctors said that the cancer could be surgically removed and it seemed that this opportunity just popped out of the most unlikely proposals. For such an amount, she was doubtful that the game was going to be straightforward.
The conversation between the two men had proved her point.
She held her stomach in undeniable hunger. "How long have I been in there?"
"Five hours, give or take." He swung his finger.
She felt at her white getup and to her displeasure, it was too big making her look more slender than she was, she was overcome with tiredness and started to move.
"O'Hara" He called and she raised her hand to catch the can he tossed.
"Take your medicine," He said and she jumped at the men in black veils leading her out, at first glance, she thought they were wraiths and her eyes caught sight of the other cradles and squirmed at the lights outside the underground gaming grid and glanced at the statue, she gaped at them in awe and fell over herself and picked up as she returned to the gaming house.
She met Kane laying gingerly in his cell, the room had a steely ambience about it, the walls were made of metal and there were inbuilt lights fashioned on the walls, a trash can by the door, twin beds and a lamp.
The ceiling was painted with birds and she walked in glancing at the huge TV, showing a movie, he beamed in his white suit laying on the bed.
"Ah, you made it, gel. I was startin' to think you would stay in there forever."
Her eyes stirred at the guards' strange movements around the cell and she caught a glimpse of their guns.
"What's happening?"
"The code is...trade secret" He murmured swinging his legs to get up. Walking over to the window, he still had a bruise on his face and chin. His eyes stirred on the miniature blue maze garden and the city far and wide.
"You can't go on social media or use a PC, it's depressing" He scoffed at the routines.
"I'm sure it feels the same way in it" She swallowed. "Guy and the others" She was eager to say.
"Lost touch," He scoffed again thinking about that Guy fellow for a moment, and his strange green hair. What would the son of a bigshot billionaire be doing in a place like this? He was certain his dad was training him to get out of the rat race or something.
Facing the TV and shoved his hands into his pockets. "We're stuck here"
"I estimated"
He glanced at her "You knew something about this,"
"Shut up about the game" They turned at the audio blaring through the speakers on the top wall.
"We'll be under surveillance for a while" He whispered. "And lockdown"
"Do we get to see our families?" She asked.
"That's for them to decide and until our little dealing is over...this is my cell" His eyes glittered.
"I'm glad you're not too polite to say so"
"Take care of that head, you don't want to hit it in the wrong place, m'dear"
She glanced at him "Yeah, I wouldn't want to hit you"
"Sheesh, don't start a fight. Are you okay?" His head tilted.
"Goodday," She said in a stiff fashion leaving.
...
"I'm not done with you yet!" Ogsydane said to the guard before they gagged him and seized the dart belonging to the pirates, another clever backup plan backfired.
They threw him into the coral cell_How do you get a treasure without leaving a connection?
By now he thought they might be fortifying the Aqua-Sapphire double the times they did while it was still in the realm's possession, it was a realm treasure and [ Donnie ] bet Ogsydane would be going down in history as the worst fall guy in the reef.
That Shoredale guy has some evil running through his veins.
He wished King Arroserion nevertheless believed to be the incompetent, misfit son he always believed him to be_ to be dealing with land-livers. Shit, it wasn't time to play The Martyr, even Strevok thought so too.
He raked his hair, the guards had put a leech on his Achilles heel, so switching back feet to fins was out of the options. He swam to the back where thin slots were cut through to make up a window, he gazed at the blue sea.
Rosée swam about in the palace and winced at Shoredale swiping the seaweed off his skin
"You're hurt, I never saw you once wrestle a land liver out there"
"What does it matter? He's out of the way"
"Why does getting rid of Ogsydane matter to you, he's younger"
"My dear you better wake up, they don't play by the books anymore and you know what that means," He said with a stern voice. "You want to be Queen of the sea, don't you?"
She bit her lip "I'm a bit worried about Serena, we left her in that mess"
"Who cares about Serena? She's better off dead"
Serena shook in her hiding place watching them in the seaweed sanctum, the weeds swayed and she held the coral he used to cut himself swimming away.
"I thought we were her friends" Rosée scolded as he glided to the seaweeds swiping them aside to stare at the rocks with a raised eyebrow. His eyes flickered at a mermaid's tail disappearing into the corner.
"Shoredale!"
"Oh, get off your moral high horse! You wouldn't stand a minute longer if she was stuck and they were all over the place!" He barked and raked his hair pulling up a knife, she slipped to the doorway.
"Someone was watching us"
"Who do you think?" She looked distraught,
Serena looked back into the deep swimming over past the rock garden at the back of the castle, she stopped at the impostor in the shadows and retreated.
Arroserion was pacing about in his quarters, with objects belonging to the sea cleverly made as furniture. Even he was afraid of judgement, he hated to admit that he liked the boy to some extent but rules were rules. He shook his head and settled down weak from thinking too hard.
"Your Majesty, your majesty!" His eyes rounded as Serena swam in and he caught her, she hid behind her uncle and her hair floated up in horror watching Shoredale emerge.
He dropped the knife "I'm a little concerned about my dear cousin but she deems me unworthy of changing, I was only trying to console her after that dreadful experience oh father, you can't imagine the horror"
"I saw him, Ogsy was t_trying t_to bring it back and then h_he tried to pin him" She pointed sobbing "And he tried to kill me"
"You'll rue the day you came into this palace!" Shoredale chid her and her head lowered behind Arroserion who reached for his trident.
He stirred at the guardian Equizerox, as he neighed and wormed his way to his chamber and nodded dragging a land-liver who had his mask on, he was terrified at the creatures and shook with bubbles rushing out of his mask and Shoredale grimaced.
'The land-liver does not know the one called Ogsydane, neither does he know the potential behind the gem'
At the moment, the king realized it, Shoredale was making a getaway.
Equizerox swam like lightning past them to his view and slammed him back into the castle. He broke into the rocks and it split, once his eyes opened, his hair prickled at the guards pointing pitchforks at him, he was leeched and forced to get up. Mortified.
Rosée watched them take him away and he glanced at her, "I hate to say I was right"
"What's going to happen to me then?" She inquired after him and winced at Arroserion.
"I'm sure you'll be content fixing the garden"
She swallowed when a maid pushed a spade to her hand and stayed at akimbo.
Ogsydane crouched on his oyster cushion in the cell and glanced at Shoredale being arrested and threw an F-bomb.
Arroserion appeared, the coral gates flickered and faded.
