Two days later.
Alfred was sitting at the edge of the port side of the Black Cherry with a fishing rod in his hands and his feet dangling over the edge of the boat with a small bucket of fish bait to his side.
Behind Alfred on the opposite side of the boat sat a tall man with another fishing rod in his hands while smoking a cigar and whistling a tune. This individual had on blood-red swim trunks and an equally blood-red cowboy hat. He sat there with squinted eyes while enjoying the cool breeze and awaiting a fish to take the bait.
Although this person was behind him, Alfred was actually quite calm. Currently, they were minding their own business, not interfering with each other.
Why was Alfred so calm with this person?
One would have to go back to yesterday morning to see the flow of events.
...
Yesterday
After finally resolving himself to his fate the night before, Alfred woke up feeling better than he did in the last 2 weeks.
After doing his business in the bathroom, Alfred left his cabin in search of breakfast. For some reason, the female chef always seemed to be extra kind to him. Whether it be the quality or the quantity of the meals, they always left him very satisfied. So naturally, he was looking forward to his only form of enjoyment since transmigrating here.
Walking out of the main cabin with a swagger, Alfred went searching for his favourite spot on the deck where he always left his Yaiza.
Closing in on the Yaiza from the back while whistling a melody he used to love back on Earth, he suddenly stopped in his tracks while wondering if his eyes were deceiving him.
What did he see?
A very audacious brethren lay sprawled out on his Yaiza on his yacht on his own family's property.
Alfred was furious!
Preparing to unleash a tirade of abuses, Alfred immediately clasped his mouth shut. He almost consigned himself to damnation!
'Damn that was close!'
Although he didn't dare curse to the nine heavens anymore, he was still furious. What a scam. Who would be so free to set him up so early in the morning?
...
Not achieving the desired outcome, John clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"Tsk Tsk. It's a pity you held back just now" John smiled while looking at Alfred knowingly.
Noticing him not responding, John continued.
"What's the matter? You don't want your Yaiza anymore? Don't you want to educate me about manners as well?"
Seeing that things were taking a turn for the worst, Alfred smiled happily while secretly holding back his sorrows.
"Father must be joking! It's so good to see you. I haven't seen you for 2 months now, thankfully, you came back 2 days before my awakening ceremony or I would definitely be nervous and sad if you missed it" he spouted a load of bullshit in one go without even a change in his happy expression.
Watching him spout such obvious bullshit with such a believable expression, John was impressed.
'This kid could be a politician. I am quite curious as to where he picked this up so fast. Looks like having Xavier educate him a little wasn't a wasted effort. Now all that's left is to see his martial talent. As long as it's at least at grade C then it wouldn't be too bad, and his future would be quite respectable.'
John smiled and said "don't worry kid, I am not here to bully you. I'm just here to take a break and enjoy your aunt's cooking"
"Aunt? What aunt?" Alfred was surprised.
How come he didn't know he had an aunt? Even the previous landlord had no recollection of an aunt.
"Ah! You mean the chef is my aunt?" He asked belatedly. His father mentioned cooking, and there were only three people here including himself, and of the three only one female.
'No wonder she was so kind to me!'
John smirked "did you offend her? It would be nice if you did. Hehehe!"
'Omg, he was up to no good, putting someone so important next to me for 4 months without me knowing' Alfred started to sweat. 'Good thing I kept to myself the entire time.'
Swearing his father in his mind a good ten to twenty times, Alfred hurriedly ran to the kitchen to greet his aunt. What a joke! Judging by how nice she is and her long black hair and green eyes, Alfred could immediately guess that she was his mother's younger sister. On this entire planet, who was nicer to him than his mom? How could he treat her younger sister like his personal chef?
...
Watching him run into the kitchen, Janine began laughing.
"Hehe, your dad told you?"
"Aunty please forgive me! This one was depressed and had no idea what he was doing!" Alfred begged.
"Hehe, ~ didn't you treat me like your personal chef for a whole 4 months?" She winked at him.
"Tell you what. I'll forgive you. BUT! Only if you promise to get me 3 Calamity grade beasts in the future" Janine looked at him expectantly.
Alfred started to sweat. Although he is new to this world, he still knows what a Calamity grade beast is.
As the name suggests, these beasts can bring down a calamity on an entire city by themselves. These monstrosities could take human form and even fly without the need for wings. Compared to himself, that was way way too far away. Currently, in Cote de Myr, only his father Blood Marshall John Gibbs could match such a beast. Hell even killing it might be a problem even for him.
Squeezing out a forced smile, Alfred opened his mouth.
"Aunty, it's not that I am unwilling but little me can't accomplish such a task."
"You can't? Such a pity. And here I was slaving away for nothing for 4 whole months..."
Janine started tearing up. "It's ok, it can't be helped. Aunty understands. I guess I'll just have to ask Lisa if she knows anyone who has Calamity grade beast carcasses."
Done saying so, she started tapping her communicator.
Seeing her actions, Alfred clasped her hands into his. "Aunty don't worry, tomorrow is my awakening ceremony so I am one step closer to completing your mission. In the future when I am strong enough, I'll visit the mountains or even a beast kingdom if I have to so that aunty can be happy."
"Really?"
"Of course!" Alfred reassured her proudly.
"Alright, Aunty will be waiting for your good news" she smiled pleasantly.
'None of you are anything good!' Alfred screamed in his mind. He didn't have to be a rocket scientist to know that both of them were in cahoots. Otherwise why else would she be here low-key playing the part of a humble chef for 4 whole months with him none-the-wiser? Clearly, this had been planned since the beginning. He even believed that Xavier was also a part of it.
Unfortunately, although he knew of the reality he really had no one to cry to.
"Don't make empty promises boy! Make sure you fulfil it."
As expected, John's voice came right after.
"..."
He could only swallow it and pretend he knew nothing.

"Kid, we're docking the boat in two hours. You need to be back in the mansion tonight to test your aptitude tomorrow. So this time we will have lunch early and set sail soon. Make sure to pack up the fishing gear." John looked over at him.
"Hmm..." Alfred was distracted.
