Chapter 14 - Tell Damon to divorce her

"What an annoying guy," Sienna muttered to herself, poking at her food, "Just because he's popular he's stuck up?"

She had stayed late at the office, running numbers, and only got the chance to eat now. But she didn't have an appetite, she was way too stressed for that.

Sighing, she decided to just go home.

She pushed open the heavy glass door of her office building and stopped in her tracks.

There, leaning on his motorcycle was the infamous bad boy of the showbiz industry, Jun Slater.

Girls and guys, it didn't matter, everyone who walked past him gave him a second glance. Some were giggling over his good looks, others had enough courage to ask for an autograph or photo.

He always said yes, Sienna realised, watching him. Despite his attitude and reputation, he was nice to his fans.

Looking up, he saw her, and trapped in his gaze, she understood why he had shot up to fame.

His mixed looks gave him a sexy appeal that made him both mysterious and desirable.

Unfortunately for Sienna, only one man made her heart race and she had just sworn to hate him forever. So she squared her shoulders, put on her professional smile and walked towards him.

"Hello, Mr Slater," She greeted him politely, "Can I help you with anything?"

"You're Mrs Wright?" He asked without any preamble.

Surprised, she nodded.

Glancing around, he tossed her a spare helmet that she barely caught and nodded towards his motorbike.

"Let's go somewhere quieter," He put on his own helmet and got on the bike, looking at her expectantly.

Sienna stared at the scene before her in shock.

The bad boy superstar was asking her to get on his bike?

People who had been watching Jun were now whispering and some had their phones out.

Hurriedly, Sienna jammed the helmet on her head to hide her face. If photos of her and Jun got out, the Wright family would not be pleased.

Part of her wondered if Damon would care if he thought there was something between her and Jun.

She slammed down that thought and slipped into the space behind Jun, thankful that she was wearing pants instead of a pencil skirt.

"Hold tight," This was the only warning Jun gave before they were flying through the night, the motorbike roaring beneath them and the wind screaming past them.

Jun was warm and muscled under her grip and Sienna realised she had never even hugged Damon this tight before. Despite herself, she blushed under the helmet.

Sienna held on for dear life as they whizzed down streets and across the city until they reached a quiet neighbourhood.

Jun dismounted and headed towards a regular looking house with a small garden. Somehow, Sienna had always pictured him as someone who stayed in a sleek penthouse rather than a cosy house with flowers lining the path.

Before he reached the door, it swung open to reveal a familiar girl who smiled brightly to see them.

"You're home late!" She admonished affectionately and then gasped, "Mrs Wright?"

Sienna frowned before placing her, "Miho, right? From the jewellery store?"

Miho lit up, her light brown eyes sparkling, "You remember me!"

Jun watched them quietly before turning to Miho, "So this is the Mrs Wright you were telling me about?"

She nodded enthusiastically and he seemed to consider something before extending a hand to Sienna.

"I'll do it," He told her.

Sienna stalled for a second before her brain came back online, "You mean the spokesperson role?"

Jun nodded before cracking a small smile that would have brought hordes of fans to their knees, "My sister told me about how you stood up for her. I appreciate that."

Sienna's mouth made a tiny 'O' of realisation, "Miho is your sister?"

It suddenly all made sense, the shared surname, the mixed looks and Japanese sounding first names. They had all seemed like coincidences until now.

"She insisted on getting a job and being independent," He grumbled fondly, "I don't know why she has to when I have enough money for us both."

"I can't leech off you forever," Miho shot back, "I have to live my own life."

This was clearly an old argument so Sienna stayed out of it. She was too busy internally celebrating getting Jun to work with them.

Wait until Alison heard about her success!

"I'll send over the documents and contract first thing in the morning," She told him, snapping back into her professional mode immediately.

"Would you…" Miho looked shy but determined, "Would you like to stay for dinner?"

Sienna hesitated, she didn't really like Jun, but she wanted to stay on good terms with him if they were working together. And she liked Miho.

She nodded, "Sure, thank you for having me."

"Look at this disgrace!" The older man in a suit shoved the tablet in front of Grandmother Wright's face.

An article titled, 'Damon Wright's Wife in Steamy Affair with Celebrity, Jun Slater!' was accompanied by a grainy set of photos that showed Sienna talking to Jun and then getting on his motorbike.

"How can this shameful girl be a part of our family?" He bellowed, his face turning red and spit flying everywhere, "Tell Damon to divorce her."

Grandmother Wright had remained calm throughout this outburst.

"Mr Slater's agency has already released a statement and so have we," She looked at him with a neutral expression, "Surely you know how the media distorts the truth."

The man sputtered angrily before leaving the room and slamming the door behind him. Grandmother Wright's unperturbed demeanour melted away to reveal a small, worried frown.

"Call Damon," She commanded.

***

Damon hung up the phone with a dark expression. He had seen the photos, gotten scolded by his grandmother for not being a good husband and now, was at a loss.

All his life, women had thrown themselves at him, but his own wife was off riding motorbikes with other men!

He pinched the bridge of his nose with a frustrated groan.

Desperate times called for desperate measures.

Within an hour, he stood in front of Sienna's office. He could see her employees whispering among themselves.

Alison came out and gave him an appraising stare, "The roses are from you?"

He nodded slightly despite feeling quite offended. Who else would send his wife roses?

"Not bad," Alison smirked, "But hydrangeas are her favourite so remember that for next time."

If Damon was a player in a game, his hp bar would be dangerously low right now. He had already suffered so many blows to his self esteem and now this!

Gathering what was left of his dignity, he nodded once more and strode into Sienna's office.

"What on earth?" Sienna exclaimed, gesturing to the huge bouquet he had sent ahead of himself.

"Grandmother is worried about the photos," He said simply, knowing that Sienna respected the elder.

Immediately, Sienna understood and her shoulders slumped.

"I should have been more careful," She said remorsefully, "We were just discussing his role as an ambassador but…"

"You were discussing work on his motorbike? At night?" Damon asked skeptically.

Sienna glared at him, "Yes! What? Do you think I'm having an affair as well?"

"Not like you're in a position to say anything," She muttered but Damon heard her. He frowned, did she think he was also having affairs?

"We need to change public opinion on this situation," He tried to stay focused on the issue at hand.

She crossed her arms, "What do you want to do? We already released a statement."

Damon walked towards where she was leaning against her desk, fully aware that everyone could see into her office.

Her eyes widened but it was too late, he leaned into her space, his arms coming up on either side of her and trapping her against her desk.

Had he ever noticed how striking her green eyes were?

"A date," He murmured, "Let me take you on a date."
