Selene's Point of View
What is he doing here....again?
Bumuntong hininga na lamang ako nang makita ko si David na papasok sa gate. Buti nalang umalis nadin si Steven at pumunta sa kung saan man iyon.
When David saw me, he waved his hand and I smile. He look so handsome with just a white shirt and a pants. How?
"Heyy..." I said when he stop in front of me. I was shocked when he suddenly get my hand and kissed the back of my hand.
"Hi, Korekong. How are you?" He asked and I smile. Bakit siya ganon, hindi ko siya maintindihan o sadyang hindi nako sanay?
I nodded my head and smile again. Gusto kong sabihin na hindi maganda ang pakiramdam ko ngayon dahil sa lalaking iyon. Steven.
"I'm fine, how about you?? Bakit ka naparito?" Kahit medyo alam ko na ang dahilan kung bakit siya nandito ay tinanong kopa din. Ayoko magassume, masakit. Kahit mixed ang signal na binibigay niya, I should still guard myself.
"I want to talk to someone here and I want to see you. Namimiss kona kasi makakita ng magandang tanawin." He then look at me.
Nang rumihistro na sa utak ko ang ibig-sabihin niya ay awtomatikong nag-init ang pisnge ko. Umiwas naman ako ng tingin at binalewala nalang ang sinabi nito.
"Did you know, Steven MCgrey?" Lumaki naman ang mata ko.
"Yes, I don't know where he is right now." I shrugged and scracthed my nape. David looks so worried, but he just nod and smile.
"Kumain kana ba?" He asked and I nod.
"Ah yeah, kakatapos lang. You?" I asked him but he averted his gaze when he saw the baskteball players from our school walk pass us.
Hindi man lang pinansin ang tanong ko. He immediately went close to them and I let him. I stay on my position and decide to buy some water.
Kilala niya pala mga basketball player dito? For I know never siyang nag-aral dito, paanong may kakilala siya bukod samin ni Steven?
Ipinag-kibit balikat ko nalang at pumunta sa canteen para bumili ng maiinom.
Ang weird talaga ng mga tao ngayon, isama mona din itong si Marie na panay ang dikit sa isang kasamahan kanina ni Steven.
Hindi naman ako mahilig manlait pero mukha siyang higad. Ang kati.
I smirked because of my thought. After I buy two bottles of water I went back to the court just to see David with Steven.
Magkaharap sila na tila ba may mga maiinit na tingin, maglalaro sila??
I was about to sat somewhere when they both look on my direction. I froze and blink while looking back on both of them.
Bakit ba ako laging nasa sitwasyon na ganto? Baka naman bawal umupo dito sa court.
"B-bakit? Bawal ba umupo dito?" Namula ako dahil tumingin din ang ibang mga players sa direksyon ko.
"Huwag ka diyan, Korekong. Dito ka." David said and point on the bench where his bag is.
"Ah okay." I said and start to walk on the bench. "I have water he—"
My voice was cut when Steven hold onto the hem of my shirt and pull me towards the opposite bench where his bag is.
Ano ba 'to?
"Stay there, watch me." He said and I blinked.
David was about to say something when Steven pat his shoulder as the whistle spund was heard indicating that the game will start.
Napakamot nalang ako ng ulo ko dahil sa nangyari. Is this for real?
I mean, I felt dejavu. I guess I read this kind of scenario before, I don't remember where.
Slowly the court get crowded, every girls is watching as well boys. Sa laro ba naman nila David, akala mo wala ng bukas.
I watch them and they play so well, parehas magaling pero si Steven ay nakakalamang na ng isa. Hindi nako magugulat dahil ang sabi-sabi daw ay siya ang MVP ng basketball dito. No wonder he is good at blocking and shooting.
On the other hand, I know David can play basketball. Back when we are kid, my dad along with his dad used to play basketball together and they teach him.
Naging patas ang puntos ng dalawa. Lumakas ang mga hiyawan ng tao ng may 5 segundo nalang ang kupunan nila Steven para makalamang sa laro.
Nakaramdam ako ng kaba at napatayo sa inuupuan ko. I-shoot mo please!
Nang marealize ko naman ang naisip ko ay napakagat ako ng labi. Bakit ba ako may kinakampihan? Hindi, kahit sino nalang manalo.
I then look on David, he is so focused on Steven. His face was full of concerns. Maayos kaya ang samahan nilang magkapatid?
Tumunog naman ng malakas ang ring na nagpapahiwatig na timeout. Lumakas ang hiyawan pero ang karamihan ay nadismaya dahil hindi nai-shoot ni Steven ang bola sa ring.
Nanalo sila David.
I sighed when I saw how sad and mad Steven is. Bakit parang hindi maayos ang samahan nila ni David?
I was about to walk towards Steven to comfort him because of his defeat but then someone hugged me from behind.
By the way it smell, I know it is David. He tighten his grip on my waist and rest his chin on my shoulder.
Nabigla ako kaya naitulak ko siya. Mabilis namang sumilay ang lungkot sa mukha niya pero nakuha niya paring magbiro.
"I'm sorry, I just want some reward since I won the game." He then smile and look on the water bottle in my hand.
"Is that for me? Thank you." I nodded. Ininom naman niya ito at sa gulat ko ay nabuhos ito sa mukha niya nang sanggiin siya ni Steven.
Loko yon ah.
"The heck!" David cursed before looking on Steven but the lad just walk pass like he did nothing.
Susundan pa sana siya ni David pero agad ko namang hinawakan ang kamay niya para pigilan siya.
"David." He look at me and to my surprise he calm down and smile, he nod slowly and sighed.
"I'm sorry, I lost control, Selene." He said and lowered his head.
I felt bad for him. Grabe naman kasi yung Steven nayon, bakit niya gi awa yon? Dahil lang sa isang laro, eh palagi naman silang nananalo ng teammates niya ah.
I have a very big feeling na hindj maayos ang pagsasama nilang dalawang magkapatid. How could he be so cruel on David?
"Let's go."
Bumalik naman ako sa wisyo nang magsalita si David.
"Ha? Saan? I have classes, David." He the laughed and reach for my hand. He intertwined our hands and smile on me.
"Napaalam na kita sa principal kanina before I saw you." He said and start to pull me to walk.
My eyes was glued on our hands. Never knew I would still feel this kind of feeling. My heart was indeed beating so fast by how he hold my hand.
I felt so safe and precious. Hindi kona makita ang mga tao na dumadaan at tanging siya lang ang nakikita ko, akala ko hindi ko wala na itong nararamdaman ko pero hanggang ngayon palaay nandito parin.
David always own my heart.
I can't stop from smiling. Mapupunit na ata ang labi ko dahil sa kilig at saya na nararamdaman ko.
This feels like a dream, but if it is a dream, don't wake me up.
