"I am strong enough. We can't delay the journey anymore. I survived so there is no reason why we shouldn't go on with our plans?"
Just as she wanted, we continued planning our journey and when it was time to begin the journey, we threw the two suitcases holding all we had left.
My cat gave two cards for the weapons she took to sell and despite how jovial I was with her to make her feel better.
I drove and followed the directions she gave and we arrived in front of a tall concrete gate that I could literally not see the top of it.
I froze. She nodded as I was feeling so scared. I heard a loud horn that made me shiver. I looked at the gate and swallowed. The wall ahead was so tall.
I saw no one but I felt so much fear. "How do we get through?" I asked my cat.
My cat got down from the car and walked to the wall without me while limping to show that she was injured.
I winced as though I was feeling the pain she was feeling as she struggled to walk.
She looked back me in my cowardly state and she nodded. I followed her to the wall while my heart was beating so fast.
"You can drive in," I heard a voice but I had no idea where that sound was coming from.
With that, we walked back to the car and entered it. I was wondering why they asked us to come in when the gate was locked so tightly that I could not detect the difference from the gate and the wall except the fact that I was presently driving on the road.
The gate opened as we got so close to the wall. It was so dark and the only light was the light from the head lamp of my car.
Despite the light my head lamp produced, it was still so dark like the darkness formed a blanket over us. The light found it hard to tear through the darkness like trying to use a knife to cut through a metal board.
"Turn off the lights and step down from the car," the voice came again and I felt a strong urge to curse at whoever was speaking.
It was a soft voice that had a slight deepness to it that made it difficult to judge if it was a male or female speaking. I have always been a decent student who does not use curse words but lately, reverse has been the case.
I just hope that when I return back to earth, my proper and classic countenance will return and I won't be unable to control my anger.
"My cat is hurt!" I shouted in anger without caring about the crazy federation of whoever was in control of the place. "This place is dark. How do you expect us to step out of the car without light?"
"You have to be obedient if you want us to leave this place as fast as we should," my cat warned and I froze since I knew nothing about the government of this place and they could kill me like in a country on earth for speaking against the authorities and I was unwilling to die just yet.
"That is very rude of you, Mr." I heard a new male voice scold me with a hint of playfulness and obvious pleasure.
Whoever that bas. . . Was must have had a good time making fun of me when I was worried about how my cat would be able to walk in a dark place like this.
"They did not ask us to move so it is okay," my cat told me softly with a quiet hint of warning.
I pressed my lips together and shook my head despite how scared I was that I gun could be pointed at me at that moment because I suddenly took note of my environment and I could swear that there was someone there with us.
I reached my hands towards my cat. "Come, I will carry you," I told my cat since I knew she could see.
"I can't see in here. No one can," she told me. "But I will be able to walk out of the car. About helping me, that will be very weird. Also, my leg is fine enough to support my body weight," she told me and I was forced to pull back my hands.
This world was very weird. Like everything about it was so confusing and ridiculous that it was making me displeased.
With a frown on my face which I wished they could see although I knew that from what the cat said, they probably don't wish was annoying enough.
