Chapter 17 - Home?

I cleared my throat to ease the stuffy uncomfortable feeling in my throat. I did not realize I cleared my throat loudly until I noticed her move and that had me running back to the bed from the basket she laid in.

"Why were you spying on me?" She asked in a low voice, the voice that made me unable to recognize that she was a male cat at first and not a male cat.

"I was not spying on you, for goodness sake," I replied after scoffing at her ridiculous assumption.

I paused and thought about why I had to run when I was doing nothing wrong. Like I am sure you are wondering why I got flustered just because I was petting my male cat when I am a male human.

Well, let me remind you incase you have forgotten. She was actually a human being and not just a human being but a female human being and not some married ajumma but a possibly pretty college student.

You know I have chosen to believe that you are given an appearance and a body based on what you look like on earth.

Now, I am not trying to be a narcissist but an analyst. I for instance, was a very handsome youth on earth like I had an unrivaled appearance and when I got to this world, I was just as handsome.

When I say handsome, I don't mean the face alone but including the body and when I say body, I mean everything about the body.

In summary, I believe this beautifully colored cat of mine must have been a very beautiful girl in college. Now, do you understand why I got flustered after getting caught touching my cat?

"Now, that sounds like you were really spying on me. What a strong denial," she told me and she jumped out of the basket making me jump up from my bed towards her.

"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly as I reached to touch her but she turned and walked away. She was no longer limping. "Your legs, they are fine now," I told her my observation as I began to follow her to check the wound which was not wrapped around the bandage u dressed it with.

"They must have used the advanced medicine to treat the wound for me. It is gone," she said stretching before she continued walking forward away from me. "I am better than I have ever been in this world, so put your heart at ease."

"Oh gosh . . ." I sighed with my eyes closed and my hands on my chest. I was very relieved to know that they treated her, well who wouldn't be?

But wait . . . Why? Why will they treat my cat when I did not even ask them to and what's up with the elegantly designed room I was given?

I looked around. The taking in the appearance of the room. I understood why I woke up in the basement of a skyscraper but why was in this room that looked like an expensive suite in a five star hotel?

It was almost twice of the size of my room back on earth which was not small in anyway after all it was almost twice of the size of my classroom.

It had a living area and the bedroom where a king size bed was placed. "Master," my cat brought my attention back.

I frowned as I looked at her on the floor as she returned from walking around the room. "This is weird to you too, right?" I asked as I looked up at the luxury chandelier hanging down from the ceiling.

Everything in this room smelt like wealth and royalty. I inhaled and fresh scent that filled my nose had me inhaling deeply again.

"Yes, very weird, master," my cat replied with a serious nod of her head.

"So, do you have any idea of this is some sort of default accommodation before I fight to secure a house of my own?" I asked my cat as I began walking around myself and when I walked to the window, my cat followed me and blocked my part.

"No, they can never give such a place a default accommodation," she replied with that type of look in her eyes that makes you know that you might have walked into a den of thieves or lions.

At this point, I am not sure which of them is more dangerous although that was because at that time, I have never been in either of them.

"Did we get kidnapped?" I asked my cat as I felt hands shake on my side despite how I tried to make it stop. My lips twitched as I waited for her answer.

"No, you returned home, master," she told me shaking her head sadly.

Now, why do I feel like that looks like she was staring at a man who was buried alive.

I looked around again. This was not my room at home. My parents were wealthy but such a room for a high school student was too unnecessary. My father won't want anything unnecessary around me.

Or maybe they did that because I almost died and they almost lost their son, right?

"You returned to the capital, master," she told me backing away towards the wall fearfully as though she was scared of something she could not run from.

"Relax . . ." A wrong moment but that was when I realized that I did not know the name of my cat. "It is going to be alright," I tried to persuade her.

I don't know if cats experience panic attacks but it seems like my cat was about to have a panic attack, she was hyperventilating.

"We came back. The federation returned you back home," she told me after a minute of taking deep breaths to calm down.

"What home?" I asked with my eyebrows cocked. I did not understand anything she was saying. What home could be there in this strange world?
