After everything I've been through, I finally got to rest, or so it seemed. I still needed to write a paper on mana theory, train and program, I didn't really have much time to myself, but I couldn't complain. After all, I would still have free time after I did all those things, and everything went like that for three weeks.
Those three weeks were big for me. First, I not only got accepted into the academy, but I also gained a scholarship. The second Is that I made the auto mana collection program, although that was still an alfa build, and I would still need to be semi-active for it to work, but it is still a fantastic achievement; now, all that was left was to upload it. Third, my stats improved, and soon, I'll hit my first bottleneck.
Currently, I was getting ready for my portal, I thought the technology wasn't finished, but actually, it was, but due to health concerns and availability, it seemed to be only private travel; it appeared that as a student of Ether Academy, I could use portal technology to travel, but only to designated places. It seemed that I was taking quite a long to pack my things, so Blaze started complaining about my speed, but I still took my time. I thought about bringing my sword and gun, but I decided not because, as a scholarly student, I would receive new and more modern equipment; I just hoped that as the main character, nothing terrible would happen during my trip.
"Anyway, I'm leaving. I'll come to visit if I get the chance," As I was about to leave, I noticed my sister poking her head out.
"Is brother leaving?" She didn't understand the current situation because my parents didn't want her to start a tantrum.
Sigh
"Yeah, I'm leaving."
"When will you be back?"
"When I'll be back? Mom and Dad will tell you, anyway, I have to run." As I said that, my parent's eyes showed sadness and betrayal because of my betrayal.
I left as soon as possible I didn't want to see my sister cry right before leaving; it would ruin my mood, so I just ran.
"Damn, I can't believe you did that to your little sister," Blaze commented, but he also seemed to be a bit angry about what I did.
"And what did you want me to do?" I couldn't bring myself to be the person who made my sister cry; I'd rather it be my parents instead of me.
I called a taxi and arrived at the portal location, the building looked pretty advanced, and it also gave out free food; after eating, I made my way to the designated portal and asked a guard what I needed to do. The guard was quite lovely, explained everything, and wished me a good journey. Continuing, I made my way to the portal and began waiting for the light to turn green so I could proceed; I waited for about 20 minutes until a similar lady age to me began loudly complaining.
"What is taking them so long?! I mean, you have to push a couple of buttons!" She was a beautiful Brown-haired, blue-eyed lady with the 'perfect body' but had a lousy personality and kept talking more than needed.
"Damn, can she shut the hell up?! I mean, who cares about your problems?!" Blaze made a good point, but I felt lucky that she didn't hear what Blaze said, or she would curse me out.
Soon after, the light turned green, and we slowly proceeded to travel through the portal; after entering, I felt a bit nauseous, but not enough to throw up, unlike the others. Blaze began laughing as he saw the gorgeous lady clutching a bucket. After laughing, he shouted, "karma." Lucky me that he is just an illusion.
I exited the building and saw a bus with the academy's name. It seemed that the academy also paid for the bus for us to travel to the academy, it was quite a shame because I wanted to travel around the city, but it seemed there would still be a chance.
Entering the bus, I noticed a couple of people already in there. Some were chatting, and others were on their phones; I proceeded to find an empty seat and play games with the skill [Internet Backup]. After three weeks, I fell in love with the other earth's games, they were fledged out and interesting, so I played them when I had free time.
As soon as everyone got onto the bus, we started driving. Unluckily for me, the gorgeous lady from before sat next to me; not only did that make me uncomfortable, but it also made Blaze's face crumple.
"Ugh, hey, a pretty face, can you at least be attentive and start a conversation," She seemed to be very egotistical and wanted me to give her attention, but I ignored her, and Blaze only glared at her.
"H- Ugh, never mind!" she seemed to be in a bad mood, but I didn't care. I enjoyed playing the game 'Minecraft,' it was very addicting.
After arriving at the location, what I saw was not as I expected, it was a lot bigger, and it was quite literally the size of a small town. After deboarding, we were introduced to the guide that would show us around the school. We travelled around and got introduced to the academy's facilities. Also, a few companies that are sponsoring the academy had a couple of shops, mainly weapon and armour stores, and there were a few technology stores which caught my attention.
After the tour, we made out way to the dormitories, and I got the key to my room which I was sharing with two other people. I was pretty sad that I could not get a private room, but there still was a chance as you could change your room with money or have a high rank in the mid-term exams.
Entering the room, I didn't notice anyone being home, so I casually unpaced my things and proceeded to get out my PC; then, I began checking my first classes, which started after this week.
The classes that caught my attention were magical music and rune programming classes, which, although they seemed useless, their lessons were helpful in combat and survival; I was very excited about these classes.
I soon heard the door open, and I presumed that it was a dorm mate. I introduced myself, and he just stared at me, not talking.
"Oh, sorry, my name is Ryan Collins," He seemed to be an average-looking guy, and he seemed to be a melee fighter based on his tuned muscles.
"Hello! I'm guessing you're my dorm mate,"
"Yeah, I am."
"Then come inside," as I said that he entered and began exploring the dorm before choosing a room.
After all of this, I went back to my room and got the idea to start downloading the academies database and upload it to the [Internet Backup] skill. Although it would take a lot of mana to do that, I had the alfa version of the Automatic Mana Collection Program that I still haven't uploaded to my brain. Because I was dumb enough not to upload it instantly, I decided to put it off for tomorrow and went to get some rest.
