The statue looked exactly like Phyllis down to the last detail. The big blue eyes, the luscious lips, the short brown hair, everything, even the clothes were the ones she was wearing when she had last kissed him.
His lower jaw dropped to the floor. He stood there looking at the statue of Yuklora like he was the 12th statue.
After he stood there for a few minutes, a man came near him and woke him up from his stupor by snapping his fingers.
He looked behind himself to see a man probably twice his age laughing while holding his stomach. His hair and clothes both were white, so Himu assumed he must be a priest.
"Oh, man! It never gets old. So does the goddess look like someone you know?" he asked, finally being able to look at his face.
"Yes, she looks like the girl I am engaged with." He said, still confused by his words.
"Yeah? Makes sense. They say the statue of the goddess takes the form of the one you are in love with." He said that while looking at the statue, a faint smile appeared on his face.
"Wow!" was all he said before the old man started again. "That's not the only one though, there are six other goddesses too." and started showing him each of them one by one.
The second was the goddess of trickery, she looked like a middle-aged woman. She was short and had a slender build. Her slanted eyes were pale blue and she had a mischievous smile on her face. She had fair skin and was wearing a flattering outfit covered in circular designs. Her name was Emris. She had what looked like rectangular dice in one hand while her other hand was closed.
Luphone, the goddess of destiny, had the form of an adult woman. She was very tall, with a shapely body and white skin. Her large eyes were green. She was portrayed as wearing an unconventional suit of armor that was mostly orange in color and was covered in circular designs. She carried a wheel in her left hand while a red thread that seemed to float in the air was in her right one.
Tendia, the goddess of oaths and trials was a young woman barely out of her teens. She was very tall and had a graceful build. She had tanned skin and alabaster hair worn in a style that resembled a pennant blowing in the wind. Her round eyes were brown.
Soela, the goddess of the sun (or the 'Soel' as called by the people of this land), was a beautiful girl in her mid-twenties. She was a little tall and had rosy pale skin. She had golden eyes and long brown hair. It also seemed to shine faintly with a golden glow.
The goddess of the three moons, Aeola, was also a girl who looked like she was in her mid-twenties. She was short and had a shapely build. Her large eyes were grey. She had china-white skin and her outfit looked like that of a sculptor.
Rebione, the goddess of balance was portrayed as a maiden. She was tall and had an hourglass build. She had straight, blue hair worn in a style that resembled a rocky outcropping. Her eyes were obsidian. She had tanned skin and was holding scales that were tipped neither way.
After he was done, he said, "Ah, where are my manners, I'm Bishop Verkal, nice to meet you. You look new in here, are you one of those Heroes?"
"Yes." Himu replied without thinking.
"Well then, I have a task, or rather a quest, as you all like to call it, for you." he said, taking out a notebook from... well maybe they had inventory spaces too because it looked like he pulled it from behind.
