The events of the hours before was not real for Siege Damon. It was nothing but a dream. Just thinking about it made Siege shiver. The visions played back in his head like a movie every time he saw Laila. She was walking a few meters ahead of him, keeping her distance.
'After that, I don't think she'll ever talk to me again!' he thought. He didn't know why he cared for her so much. They were just temporary teammates, doing anything they can to survive. 'Survival is everything'
'I might even have to kill her one day' he thought, shivering. He knew it was a possibility, but he knew he didn't have the will to carry it out. 'I have to be able to kill on sight by the end of this trial!' he said with a dark smile.
In that moment, an unwavering aura filled the surrounding. The air became poisonously heavier. Siege took a deep breathe of it and grinned. A burst of invisible red aura radiated from him.
Laila felt it too.
Her body, which was used to endless training, was in paralysis in Siege's presence. She turned around to see the being that could rival the strongest of immortal Magic Users, even the highest rank of Generois and the council...
But when she turned around, she saw Siege casually walking a few meters behind her. She knitted her eyebrows, turned around, and continued walking, her mind full of doubt...

Darkness had fallen and their exploration lasted an hour. Along the way, Siege witnesses the many wonders of being on a deserted islands. The sun glared down on the distant companions as they traversed the area. There was complete silence other than the sound of their own footsteps.
There is no sound of an insect, bird or reptile, no signs of human life. The silence made him shiver with fear for what could be lying within the darkness of the vines ahead. He stops, staring into the darkness ahead. Laila kept going, taking no notice of Siege's momentary pause.
[Unknown magic detected]
[Danger detected]
[Unknown substance in the air]
The flow of notifications made him hesitate, but seeing Laila walk further and further gave him the courage to make his way further into the darkness. He knew it was a challenge, and every challenge had an end goal. It was just a matter of finding it...
Reading this thoughts, a notification from the simulation awoke him from his troubled thoughts:
[Warning!]
[Warning!]
[Candidate is approaching Trial Two]
"You got that notification too, right?" asked Laila, who had been walking in silence. When she turned around, she was nearly in tears. Her eyes only portrayed deep sadness and regret covered up by an emotionless, blank expression.
"Yeah..." Siege whispered, staring at his hole-filled shoes. He was cold and tired. Whatever the trial was, he didn't think he had the stamina to complete it.
Laila slashed at the large bushes and vines blocking their paths. Both felt the air get more humid, making it harder to breathe. Their surroundings became more ominous as they proceeded into the unknown. They had both been communicating silently with nods and shifting of various facial features, but Siege knew sooner or later they had to use verbal communication...
In the distance, through the darkness, both Siege and Laila spotted the unusually large hole on the side of the earth. As they drew closer, they discovered that it was in fact, a den. Beside it, a smaller, crater-like pit was in the ground.
Siege gulped.
Laila walked up to the den with precaution. Siege too closed in on the unnatural thing. He peered inside. The cave was tenebrous and cold. He put his hand through, and the first signs of the evil unrealism hit him. He gasped when the mythical tingling sensation wavered through into his heart.
Siege knew the simulation was messing with him, but he couldn't shake off the feeling it's trying to show something so much more...
"It's obvious..." Laila muttered with a melancholy tone.
"What it?" said Siege, turning his head around.
"We go inside..."
