'Huh, interesting how this will be my first (and probably last) diary entry. My wife convinced me to write all my troubling thoughts in here. Well, it seems like the end of the world as we know it is a troubling thought.
I don't know why The Generois attack came to me as a surprise. I never expected for them to escape our defenses. Sadly, the truth is far worth than what was initially revealed to the public.
I am alongside nine other Magic Users that have trained for years for scenarios such as this. But never have I expected something as large scale as this to take place. To most, we are known as the strongest Magic Users in the world hence the future of our world rests on our shoulders.
It's not easy. Most people would have crumbled under the pressure, reliving their lives knowing there was nothing they could do about their impending and foreseeable doom. But that's what we'll been trained for...
It seemed to have worked for most of us. We are still not sure what to expect from The Generois. It's been six months since we have heard back from Mission Director Analyde Royan and her crew from the Elysium 2100b.
We are currently leaving the Earth's atmosphere and moving towards the direction of attack from the enemy. We still have not received a clear goal as of yet. It seems that even the council are feeling cast down by the attack.
This letter will hopefully reach you safely back on Earth, my dear Melissa. And write back as soon as possible.
P.S How is our little Siege doing?
Take care,
Silas D
