Siege felt a sharp pain in every inch of his body. It was a thousand needles jabbing him from all directions. It was a particular kind of pain. It wouldn't hurt at first, but with every poke, the pain increased exponentially.
Siege was at the verge of tears, unable to do anything about the never-ending pain. "Damn it!" he cried, wrapping himself, hoping the pain would stop. But he knew it would never stop. "So this is what the trial does to people... This is how it kills people..." he screamed, a bright red fire radiated from his body.
"I had enough of this torture!" he screamed. Everything froze. Siege, the Reaper and all his minions. The simulation itself glitched and time itself stopped. But within a few seconds, the simulation worked once again...
For a split second, the attacks stopped. That was all Siege needed to compose himself. He took a glimpse at the creatures that had attacked him. A circle of small, dark skinned creatures stared at him with square emerald eyes.
They made an articulate sound as they moved in towards him. But as soon as they did this, a roar of flame erupted from Siege. The dark-aura creatures caught fire, an ear-piercing scream escaped their mouth's. The servant's of the final boss were send backwards.
Upon seeing this, Siege's rage deepened. He opened his palms and a beam of crimson aura erupted from it, blasting it's radiance. From a distance, the Reaper watched. Instead of fighting, the final boss was preparing something much worse. He knew he could have defeated the mortal with ease, but he wanted to have fun with him; he was impressed with Siege nevertheless.
After all, every trial, he gets reborn. An immortal that only stays defeated for a few hours. But the Reaper had only experienced this a few times. Only a minority was able to make it to the last trial in the simulation and defeat him. "Only the top 25 percent!"

[Potential: Blood Inferno]
The blast from Siege's attack engulfed three quarters of the small creatures. As soon as they were visible, they started to turn to dust.
"Very impressive" the Reaper exclaimed, mocking him. The Reaper's words made Siege's fire burn brighter than ever before. "Wow, save that mana for me!" it said, laughing. To a standard human being, the speed in which the Reaper moved was not possible, but at that very moment, Siege saw the world in slow motion.
[Feed me, Siege Damon]
[Feed my aura...]
The voice inside Siege's head got louder and louder, breaking Siege away from his concentration. His aura grew less bright.
"Huh, what just happened?"
*******
The Reaper frowned when he saw the sudden change in the boy's personalities. "You're an interesting candidate, Siege Damon..." he said, laughing. Siege heard the nervousness in the Reaper's voice.
'He's scared of me...' Siege thought, stupefied. A boss programmed for a simulation should never be scared of the candidate. "Unless there was code for it" Siege pondered. "But that's very unlikely..."
"I think someone just ran out of stamina?!" the Reaper said, cackling. There was a look of relief on the creatures face as the distorted figure became a blur. "Come and kill me... if you can!" came the voice from all directions followed by a sinister laugh.
It had become night, and it was becoming difficult to see.
"Night Vision" Siege whispered. He knew it was risky to use the new Potential in such a situation, but he had no other choice.
[Does User: Siege Damon wish to use Potential: Night Vision?]
"Yes"
Siege could see nothing but darkness for a split second. A supernatural force forced him to close his eyes. But as soon as he opened his eyes, the outline of the Reaper came into view.
"Ah, much better!" Siege muttered, a sinister smile plastered across his face...
