Damien saw the panic in Aisha’s eyes, and he leaned towards her and whispered in her ears, “Just stay calm. If anything goes wrong, put your hands in front of you, palms up.”
Without further instructions, Damien left Aisha with Helvetika and went off to his office to tend to more pressing matters of the rebirth centers. The other heads under him saw a huge batch of damned souls scheduled for rebirth, and they needed Damien’s opinion on something. He sighed as he took the stairs, trying to delay the tedious job of being a Harbinger.
“Damn these useless demons, they can’t do anything without my help,” he mumbled under his breath. “I swear to the Demon King that I will surely have them fired as soon as I find better replacements!”
Aisha’s eyes followed Damien as he walked farther from them by the second. The horned demoness smiled and she waved for Aisha’s attention. As she didn’t have much choice anymore, Aisha relinquished to Damien’s orders and followed the demoness’ lead.
