The demoness took a step forward, and with one swift movement, tried to trap Aisha into the corner. Luckily, Aisha was agile enough to dodge her, and she slipped right under the demoness’ nose. She almost tripped, but managed to quickly regain her composure.
Helvetika turned around to chase after her. Aisha was ready to run away, but in her haste and state of confusion, she made the mistake to turn and smacked on the wall beside her. Her vision spun around, like she was riding a merry-go-round at full speed.
Aisha mentally cursed herself for the ill-timing of her clumsiness – why was she so unlucky?!
She scrambled to compose herself, but Helvetika had already rushed in front of her. Out of reflex, Aisha screamed and put her hands forward to push the woman away. Little did she know that by doing so, she would activate the charm Damien put on her for protection.
Suddenly, Aisha’s palm burned and the swirling runes Damien carved onto her glowed bright.
