Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

They ended up sobbing together while holding each other tightly. They skipped piano lessons and from their discussion, Pandora realized that she and her new companion were not so different as it seemed. Coraline also had a best friend who she had developed feelings for, a boy in their grade. She was pure, honest and also beautiful and even though Pandora's family wealth surpassed hers, she admired that the former was not arrogant and egoist like the remainder of the silver spoon kids in their grade.

For the next three weeks, their friendship bond strengthened and Coraline proved to be a true shoulder to rely on. She did all she could to distract Pandora from depressing thoughts of Braxton. It was two weeks till the Young Scouts Fashion Runway, a school organized extracurricular promotion of the grandeur beauties that studied at the school. From male to female, the contest was held to showcase the promising models in their midst, where the winner was billed to win a 80000 dollars Scholarship. One in the list of numerous contestants was Pandora alongside Coraline.

She and Coraline were in the least, ecstatic, and ever ready to apply for the contest scheduled to attend to applicants today.

As usual, they dragged their feet along the class hallway that seemed to extend a length more with every step they took. When they got to the door they could hear whispering from every corner and when she stepped in, she saw what was flaming the muffled sounds.

Poised confidently on Braxton's face was a newcomer–a strikingly handsome one at that. His black hair curled around his loafy ears and shaded light from illuminating his green eyes which already sparkled radiantly. Her eyes sized him up from his polished louis vuitton boots, fancy shirt and expensive rolex watch he had to enhance his prestige.

As she advanced to her seat, she couldn't help but notice how his inviting eyes pierced right through her guard as he watched her every move. The only boy who had ever made her this insecure was Braxton and all of a sudden here was a late hour charmer sweeping her off her feet.

Every time her eyes tried to steal intermittent glances at the new boy, she would meet her eyes already waiting for her. With a menacing glare and Mr Johnson's entrance, she was finally able to deviate his attention from her.

"Hey class! Yeah! We have a new student as you can see. Mr Ethan can you introduce yourself," he said, calling Mr green eyes out.

He strolled leisurely to the front of the class, the heels of his boots making knocking sounds as it met the tiled floor. Then the giggles and drooling started again. He hadn't even lasted a day and it seemed he had drawn more attention than he had budgeted for.

Clasping his hands, he took a deep breath and with glistening lips began, " Hello class my name's Ethan Sawyer and thank you for receiving me." As he spoke in a sensual note too deep for his age, a pin drop silence surfaced, but by the time he stopped, the bickerings ensued.

Pandora just sat hugging herself while the air conditioner spat out humid air. She noticed that the new boy never for once took his gaze off her. She felt ransacked by his searching gaze and decided to do something about it. When the time was right, she would deliver him a stern warning.

" You know it's rude to stare at a girl, right?" she blurted as soon as he was back at his seat. Not wanting to be swayed, she tried vehemently to avoid his alluring gaze.

" I believe the beautiful ones are exempted from that rule," he complimented, dragging his gaze over her face.

" Does that line work on all your females?" She replied scoffing. Deep down, her heart felt like it would explode if he flirted with her again.

" I dunno, but it worked on you, didn't it?" he peered at her, flashing a kittenish smirk.

Ignoring the question, she turned and focused on what Mr Johnson was scribbling on the white board.
