Chapter 2: I'm back? And plans for my new life
I found myself lying down, and then I heard someone's voice, a female one from a room a little further away.
'Xiao Yi? XIAO YI? Are you awake?'
I opened my eyes, and focused on hearing what she said clearly, and I realised she sounded exactly like my mother from my 2nd life.
Wait, did she just call me Xiao Yi? Don't tell me, my mother's alive, and I'm not dead? But this appears to be smaller than my body… Curious, I answered:
'Yes?'
My 'mother'(?)came running, I got a look at her and realised: She was my mother, and this was my old home! Am I stuck in an illusion, or did the talisman send me back in time?
'Your father and I were so worried when we saw you unconscious, on the path just outside our house. What happened?'
' I don't remember, but quick question: what is the date today?'

Oh… The Tian calendar? What's that? Let me think… Ah! I remember now. In the little kingdom I was born in, the former royal family, The Qiu Clan,was overthrown by members of the Tian Clan, a clan situated here, who now established themselves as the new leader of this backwater place, too bad they pissed off the MC by killing his father and got their life subscription revoked. Anyways, that means that I'm 14 right now. I realised that I slightly zoned out and spoke, 'Ok, mom.'
'Do you need any help with anything or are you OK?'

'OK then… make sure to be careful though.'
My mother left the room.
Now, I need to think of what my plan is for this life.
I'll join a sect when I turn 15, but, since I've started out poor and can't afford an awakening stone, no cultivation until then. Oh yeah, about what I said about the Author, in my first life, I was a book reviewer, and I was harsh on this author, because I knew he couldn't write a book for shit, but he kept producing books such as this, which he called 'Blood Dragon Protector', and one day I got tired of it and snapped at him, which lead him to publish his novel on another platform, where it was, surprisingly, a hit, and due to it being my fault, I got fired, went to bed drunk, and woke up in this novel. I guess bad karma hit me like a truck, or he did some voodoo shit and it worked.
Back to the protagonist, Well, he's chosen by heaven so if I'm friends with him, I'd be able to piggyback on his opportunities. Now, when should I find him? Within the next few weeks, or go to the same sect as him and meet him then…
