Chapter Two
Later that day at the Urum, Tate sighed and decided to run his hands on his face ,then dropped it back after his fingertips touched the fine material covering his face, days like this are days that he usually questions his decision to wear a mask , but at last it had to be done, that is if he was planning to live a normal life at least until she arrives, his face contorted in disgust , he still feels insulted that his mate was going to be a human but then it was either that or extinction; he slowly got up and walked to a Portrait of himself, the canvas was very old painted with oil not paint, this picture reminds him of when there was no issues, he was just 200 years old there and it always gives him this nostalgic feeling ;he loves it when humans just look at it and ask him if that was his ancestor.
Tate chuckled and was walking away when Derek came in looking flustered, he turned sharply to him with a brow raised and Derek huffed his cheek " my Alpha you are required to attend a meeting with the Royal court in the hidden right now," Tate nods his head and swiftly left the office with Derek trailing him.
They took the Elevator down and then got into his Ferrari and they zoomed off, on getting to his mansion, he quickly changed his clothes to casual jeans and top, walked casually to his back yard and started walking deeper into the woods then he changed into his beautiful brown wolf and ran off to the forest of the hidden ,the home of the first wolf clan.
After running in his wolf form for the Longest of time, he got to the divide, and in front of him is the big ancient wall, a Human would not even see it , because it was said that Zeus enchanted it to protect them after the invasion of Hades, he turned back into his Human form and walked towards the glowing marking in the wall, which is the only way in and it requires the blood of the first wolfs, placing his hand on it, the sharp needle inside it drew blood and a whoosh was heard, the wall opened both ways and he stepped into a different world altogether.
Meanwhile, downtown Daisy and her brother David are both returning from work sad and excited, because Their admission decision reached them and they got into Harvard on a partial Scholarship, they still had to pay for room and board and take care of themselves, because the Scholarship only cover Tuition and due to Their background they knew that there was no help coming and no Calvary at all.
So they were both lost in thought hand in hand as they made Their way from work, David usually stops at Daisy's workplace every day from his own and they walk home together.
Approaching Their house they saw a man arguing outside with Their father who was looking so Pale with fear, they looked at each other and then hurried towards them, immediately the man saw them he guffawed with glee.
"You have to pay what you owe me Jon or this house will be mine"
Shaking with Anger David looked away Angry with his father but Daisy intervened with tears in her Eyes she muttered .
" This house is mortgaged and not fully paid yet, you cannot add a new debt to it come on"
The man looked at her with sympathy,
" Am sorry Sweetheart but that dope he did not deliver cost money" facing Jon he said.
" You have till month end" he said smiling
then he walked off whistling, Jonathan turned and went to his room too ashamed to look at his children, David swore loudly and angrily ,He looked at his sister and asked,
"What are we going to do? we can barely manage the mortgage, upkeep, and feeding, now a new debt? How are we going to sort this"? He sat on the step and placed his hands on his head, Daisy joined him there lost in thoughts, the excitement of the School faded and she was left with nothing else but pain and anger.
Meanwhile, in the Hidden the atmosphere is tense and everyone is looking troubled, in the meeting area, which is huge which can conveniently take 50 elders, and in front of the area are two chairs one for the Alpha of the entire clan and his mate, but due to the demise of the Alpha, nobody has taken that seat in 2000 years.
The eleven elfin elders sat down with gloomy eyes surrounded by both the elves and the wolves, on the third chair on the left side of the Thrown chairs sat Tate representing the Royal family in the absence of Logan and Ettienne.
The council chief and the oldest Elf and Wolf breed walked into the gathering and there was quietness, he sat down and bowed slightly to Tate then cleared his throat.
" Welcome to the hidden third prince and third Alpha of our clan, it is good to see you"
He spoke with warmth due to being close to the royal family and drekianas his son who is called Derek by Humans happened to be best friends with the prince, the prince nodded to him and smiled slightly at him and the old man continued
" As we know the task of keeping the underworld critters in the underworld was passed to us after the death of Pesophone, but at last I hear the news that Lucifer is on the surface, ".
There was a collective gasp as many in the hidden are not aware of the situation.
"We need to make sure they are sent back down and that they stay down " he sat down and they began to deliberate.
And for the next one Hour they all voiced their solutions but nobody could proffer a lasting solution until they concluded on being ready to fight headfirst against Lucifer along with whatever demon crawled out of hell with him.
That meeting ended and Tate left the hidden on his way to his house deeply troubled.
