Mercedes Sinclair sat in her office dejected and tired of everything, she cannot believe it's been 10 years since she decided to come work at Urum just so she can be close to Tate since Ettienne is nowhere to be found ,but all through those years with Tates reputation for sleeping around, he has not once looked at her and that hurt, at 6ft with wide hips and beautiful white skin common with the Sinclair Clan, one of the oldest wolf clans in the Hidden .
Mating with any of the Urium boys would be very beneficiary to her family but the idiot has refused to look at her.
She got up and began to pace so angrily that she has wasted 10 years of her life here and no result.
" Well Tateracus I will get you and you will be mine"
Meanwhile, Tate just woke up feeling funny, like the feeling he gets when one of his Pack members are in trouble only stronger like a Mate pull, he got up from the sea of girl and quickly called Derek in his mind link .
" Derek get over here now"
Derek did not answer but he knew that he will be with him shortly and knowing him Tate knew that Derek can feel his agitation at the moment , his fangs were almost coming out and it was a chore to control himself, a few minutes later the door to his Penthouse burst open and Derek came in looking like he just rolled out of bed, which is what he did.
" Tate what is wrong, he asks with concern as he stepped into his bedroom after noticing that the girls were still allowed to sleep past the time Tate and the non-disclosure contract said, so nothing made sense to Derek at that moment.
Hearing Derek call him by his name, Tate knew that Derek has gone into an overprotective elder brother mood, immediately he looked up at Derek, Derek gasped in surprise.
" Why is your fangs hanging out Tate? Tell me what is wrong dammit"
" I felt a mate pull and I don't understand, these girls has been my models for long, and am sure none of them is my mate "
Derek shook his head and smiled " then my Alpha your Luna is in California, closer to you even, or will soon be"
Leaving a dazed Tate in his bedroom, Derek went and made sure the other girls went home immediately, and he too became extremely alert, knowing the mate pull ,the girl is likely about to cross their part.
Meanwhile, that morning as Tate is getting the mate pull Daisy and her Brother are doing deep cleaning for the House, their job for that day starts at noon, their Father's room was locked indicating that he was inside and this made Daisy more relaxed because she knows that he is fine and alive.
With David outside cleaning the Compound ,and Daisy inside working the Kitchen and all the Rooms except from their Father's room ,she remembered that she had a sleepover with Helena and this immediately brightened her look and she started working fast so she can make lunch and head out, all was going well until she heard the Door to her Father's Room slammed followed by rapid Foot steps, and then there was ruckus coming from outside, she could hear her Brother asking who the person was and then a slap resounded and Daisy flinched and ran outside.
Seething in anger at whoever had the guts to slap her twin ,but when she got outside she almost turned back because the scene looked like a movie, a gun was being pointed at David and and her Father too had a gun pointed at him as well and there was another man who looked important in a bad way like the Leader, he was dressed in Leather and smirking, he turned to the noise coming from the main door and saw her then he smiled, immediately another Goon dragged her to the floor
" Wow Jon, you have such a beautiful daughter, all your debts could be cleared if you just give her to me " David began to struggle and job swore loudly and sighed looking sad .
" Latiff my daughter is not for sale, this children has suffered too much for my sake, look leave her out of this, I promise I will pay you back, give me some time"
David Looked at his Father with so much hate, Daisy was already crying at this point, Jon started crying as well and he began to speak .
" am so sorry kids, I just wanted to pay off all the debts so you can live life normally, am so sorry"Latiff smiled wolfishly and said.
" Aww ok based on his performance, I will give you till Month end to pay or I will take your Daughter as Payment, and do not think of double-crossing me, if you do, instead of taking her alive, you will find her corpse sitting pretty in your lawn, unless if" he looked at him with hope and then turned away when Jon only shook his head.
" No? Fine deadline still remains " he turns and starts heading to his car and all his goons fell in line and they drove off, David stood up, walked to his Father and punched him
" This is all your fault, we have been okay so far, why did you decide to help now"
He turned and ran off, Jon just sat on the ground feeling like the Worlds Biggest Fool, while Daisy just stayed on the ground just the way they left her ,staring unseeing at a Spot with tears running down her face, she felt so useless and was tired of the hard life she and her brother have to go through.
Helena choose that very moment to drop in for a visit, riding her Harley down to her Friend's place ,she is not prepared for what she saw, for few seconds she just sat on her bike watching the Father and Daughter duo cry, she came down from the bike ,dressed in ripped shorts and tank top the exact opposite of Daisy.
Her footsteps threw Daisy's attention , Helena rushed over to her and hugged her, seeing Helena Jon muttered a quiet thank you and went into the House, while Daisy let the ugly tears pour and Helena just consoled her .
Ater a moment Helena picked Daisy up bridal style because she has fallen asleep and took her to her room and tucked her into her bed and then stepped out of the room to speak with Jon, a strange light in her eyes.
