Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Prodigy of Greed

Xavier is still lying on the floor, injured from being stepped on by Emilia and Solrac. Everyone gets out of their chairs and walks toward the double doors. Xavier is trampled as everyone walks over him, out the conference room doors. "So, what shall we do about Oshose, Solrac?" asked Emilia devilishly.

"We'll get to that, Emilia," responded Solrac with a grin. "Just be patient."

"Wait for me, Sir!" yelled Nicosal as he trampled Xavier's gut with Reldaris following behind. "Oooghh!" exclaimed Xavier as they stepped on him, ignoring him entirely.

"I promise you, it's a good joke this time," continues Nicosal. Xavier gets up after they all leave through the door.

"I should listen to my therapist," said Xavier weakly. "I do have confidence issues." He blushed then quickly retracted his expression.

Outside the conference room, Emilia and Solrac are talking in whispers. Solrac looks at Emilia sharply. "I admire your enthusiasm, but we're here to trample Oshose, not Xavier," said Solrac with his hand on Emilia's shoulder. "You're not going on our 'visit.'"

Emilia moans and groans disappointed in a childish manner. "Aww, really?" she complained with a pouting look. Solrac takes his hand off her shoulder and walks a few steps away. "I have a different task for you," said Solrac as he looked back at Emilia. Emilia silently celebrated by doing a little happy dance in place. She let out a happy squealing noise. (By the way, Emilia isn't a child. She's just immature.) "R-really?" stammered Emilia, wiping away crocodile tears. "What is the task?" Solrac walked back to Emilia and held her hands firmly.

"I want you to mess with Oshose some more… remotely," said Solrac gently. He recoiled and walked away.

Emilia looked at her hands and saw a strange remote control and the headset she dropped. "Okay," she muttered weakly. She smiles profusely as Solrac has his back turned. Emilia teleports out of the room while laughing maniacally.

Solrac looks down at another remote control he's holding that looks just like the other one. "Guess I'd better go make preparations," said Solrac while looking at his reflection.

Oshose stands in the lake, looking out at the red-glowing sky. Emilia had been sent to make Oshose believe he was a woman to mess with him, but he had broken through the delusion. Emilia was shocked to find out her illusion had been beaten by the thought-to-be-delirious Oshose. And here we are now, with 20 minutes until Solrac, Nicosal, and Reldaris go to visit Oshose inside the computer.

"How did he break through the delusion?" thought Emilia. "Well, he thinks it's his power, but still, he doesn't think he's a woman anymore. What the hell?" Emilia grits her teeth aggressively at that thought.

Oshose senses a presence nearby. "Who's there?" yelled Oshose. The red spiral in the sky becomes became more intense. The ground starts to shake, followed by several cracks starting to form in the ground. Pieces of dirt fall one by one into a pit in the ground. Blue and red flames slowly raise out of the hole. The flames form an eerie glowing tower that rises to the skyline. The clouds part ways as the blue and red flame break through the first, second, and third cloud barriers, and so on. Oshose's eyes practically pop out of his skull. "Why the hell is fire rising from the ground?!" exclaimed Oshose in a broken voice. He blinks slowly.

"Someone is coming through," thought Emilia. "Don't tell me." She looks closer at the monitors and eats some popcorn. (No, it's human teeth.)

A figure walks out of the tower of flame. "Oshose!!" exclaims Xavier. Oshose looks in Xavier's direction. "Xavier?" said Oshose, confused. "In the flesh," responded Xavier with his arms outstretched. The computer turns black again. "I see you remembered me and the others," echoed Xavier's voice. "I'm sure Solrac will enjoy executing you now that you will suffer even more. So, good." Solrac's laugh echoes through the darkness.

"Someone else is coming", thought Oshose, worried.

"Yes, the master, the great Solrac", said Xavier telepathically. "Did you forget, former prodigy of greed?"

Suddenly, something triggers in Oshose's mind. "Uh!", stuttered Oshose.

The Devil's Seven Prodigies are an army led mostly by seven

Common demons, and formerly was number five of the five groups of demons closest to Lucifer. Oshose is the former leader of the Seven Prodigies, formerly known as "Oshose, Prodigy of Greed."

The computer is still completely black. "So, now you remember, yes?" echoed Xavier's voice. Oshose looked around in the darkness. "By the way, I'm not your ally," continues Xavier, cynically. "I just hated how the demon king suppressed your memories." The flames continue to rise in the black computer. They illuminate the dark and gloomy computer and send a chill down Oshose's spine. "Welcome back," echoed Xavier. "Honestly, you let yourself get captured and be imprisoned and tortured?" Oshose senses the other presence again.

Everyone is getting ready to leave through the portal. "Let's go, everyone," said Solrac impatiently, but still maintaining his cool.

"Thank you for giving me this opportunity," said Nicosal humbly while saluting Solrac.

"Why thank you," said Solrac, now with some of that leader-like arrogance returning. Reldaris looked up at Solrac and looked back down at the ground.

"Why did he sell me off to Solrac?" thought Reldaris. "As some kind of wedding gift? Your own brother?"

"He's regained consciousness, sir," yelled Emilia on the voice chat.

"It's fine, Emilia," insisted Solrac while checking his claws for dirt.

"He'll be docile again once I get my hands on him." He smirked. All of them walked through the portal and disappeared.

"Here he comes," cheered Xavier. He looks at Oshose intently. "I never liked you, Oshose." He circled Oshose and looked at him once more. The look in his eyes turned to a cold and sinister grimace. "You were always such a goody-goody," snapped Xavier, followed by spitting on Oshose's face. "So much so that I wanted to leave the Seven Prodigies if you were going to continue leading it." Xavier punches Oshose's face. "Solrac is a much better leader, and even though he hates, disregards, despises me, and in my eyes, is a cocky and arrogant tyrant, he's still better than you," continues Xavier. Oshose gets in Xavier's face and looks at him with intensity.

"Xavier, it's going to be different this time. I know it," said Oshose with a raised voice. Xavier gets closer and Oshose backs away.

"What are you talking about? No, it isn't," mocked Xavier. "See? You're still scared."

"I have a better leadership style than that lanky, ugly ass tyrant!" fumed Oshose. Xavier shrugged.

"You can say what you want, but a half-angel, half-demon, shouldn't even be in the Devil's Seven Prodigies. Let alone a faction," said Xavier arrogantly. "Justice is so overrated anyways." Solrac, Nicosal, and Reldaris approach out of the portal of Flames. Xavier approaches Oshose again. "You are too good to be a demon or a proper figure of the authority of punishment and chaos," said Xavier softly and malignantly. "You think being a demon is just about the desk work. That's your problem. You were always too kindhearted. You shouldn't be allowed to live," Xavier whispers in Oshose's ear. "It makes me sick that you got to walk for any longer." The three demons approach from the portal of Flames and get closer. The wind howled. Fire crackles.

Solrac walks up to both. He looks back and forth. "Hello, Oshose, long time no see. Hmhm!" said Solrac casually, with sinister undertones.
