Mornings in Bozeman, Montana are lovely. Especially when you wake up to your beautiful wife and lovely daughter. Adrian Marcel was having the time of his life ever since he moved to Montana from New York with his two year old son, Aaron Marcel. He decided to settle here when he fell in love with his then student and now wife, Jordan Bright. Never in his dreams did he imagine falling in love again and getting married and having another kid after the bad experience of his first marriage, which ended up making him a widower.
But that's all in the past. Now, he has everything he could pray for. He has moved up to become the principal of Harrison High School where he began working as maths teacher. His son Aaron had grown into a handsome and well behaved 18 year old boy and soon he will be beginning college in New York. And his daughter, Amity studies in the same school and his wife, Jordan works as a curator in the university library.
Birds chirping sound in the background made the morning more blissful. Aaron tossed and turned on the bed before opening his eyes to the bright light beaming through his room window.
He could hear his family members talking in the background. Mostly, his mother nagging at his little sister and his dad. He got off the bed and stretched his body. This week was the last week of his summer holidays before he starts his college. So he had travelled to Italy to have some more fun before he got busy with studies and stuff. Italy is the birth place of his aunt Riley, his mother, Jordan's best friend. She was also his father's student at some point. So back to Italy, Aaron spent an entire of two weeks in Rome with Rafael, Riley's older brother.
Aaron walked into the living room only to find his father and sister cornered on one side of the couch while his mother was giving a lecture to both of them. Basically, his mother was warning his sister to not get into any trouble in school and a warning to his father to not take his sister's side if she gets into trouble in school.
"Is that clear?" Jordan spoke in a loud voice. Amity nodded her head and so did Adrian. Aaron smirked at his father and sister before moving forward and hugging his mother from behind.
"Good morning, mamma," he mumbled and hugged his mother. He could sense his mother calming down.
She turned around to face Aaron, "Good morning, baby. Do you want coffee?" she asked, unwinding the locks in his hair. He nodded his head as yes, "Fine, then, sit down and I'll get it for you." She walked towards the kitchen. Aaron plopped down on the couch.
"This is cheating papa," Amity said with a known pout on her face.
"Which is cheating, princess?" Adrian asked, hugging his daughter.
"Mamma only scolds and warns me and you. Not Aaro," she accused.
"That is because I am a good boy. Not like you both," said Aaron, scrolling through his phone.
Amity exclaimed loudly, "Huh??? You?? Good boy?"
"Of course I am. Why else do you think mamma doesn't scold me?" he spoke cockily.
"Because.... Because..." Amity looked at her father for help. Adrian smiled and came in to support her, "He is just a spoiled brat sweetie."
"Right, papa, he also got into so much trouble," she turned to Aaron, "Did you forget the time when you had got into trouble with Roman Evans. You were suspended for two weeks from school."
"I was suspended from school because your papa doesn't like me," Aaron counter attacked.
"No. You were suspended because you did the wrong thing. You beat that boy to bleeding." Amity gave an explanation on her brother's wrong doing.
"Well, he deserved that," Aaron replied as if it did not matter at all.
Before Amity could reply anything, they heard Jordan's voice, "What is happening here?"
"Mamma, they are attacking me. Accusing me of being a spoiled brat," Aaron said over dramatically. Adrian sighed. He is very well aware of where his son got that trait from.
"How was Italy? And Rafael?" Adrian asked his son, hoping no one would suspect him of trying to change the topic. He did not want to have this talk about spoiled brat because he knew how spoiled both of his kids were. While Aaron is spoiled a hell lot by everyone in the family because he is the oldest grand baby in both of their families and Amity is beyond pampered because she is the princess of the family. Adrian's sister has two sons and Jordan's younger brother is yet to be married let alone kids.
"It was great. Uncle Rafael is doing good I guess. We mostly went out all day long and grandpa Alessandro and Georgia grandma are also doing well. They said they might come here some time in a few months."
Adrian nodded his head. Amity whispered in his ears, "You successfully diverted them papa." Adrian winked at her and high fives secretly.
Aaron turned to his mother, "Mom you should know this." Adrian and Amity sighed dramatically and got off the couch and exited the living room. Jordan and Aaron shrugged at their action. Because Aaron and Jordan were going to gossip now. And Adrian doesn't want his daughter to get that trait from them. It's not like he doesn't like gossiping but he mostly doesn't let his daughter know too much gossip from Italy. The sole reason for it is Riley's father. He still runs the Italian mafia gang. He wants his precious daughter safe and sound. He lets his family interact with Riley's family. But he was always on the edge around them. Riley's parents and brother, Rafael loved his kids to bits but still he could not get himself to let his daughter be more involved. He couldn't control his son.
In the living room, the gossiping had begun, "Tell me what is the talk of the town now?" asked Jordan curiously.
"There's a girl. A young and beautiful girl." He said cutting the words just to get his mom riled up.
"Wait, wait. Is this girl related to Rafael?" she asked, biting her nails.
"Yes," that is all she needed for this moment, "Wait, don't say it now. I'll call Riley for lunch. We'll talk over lunch."
With that, they got back to begin their day. Aaron went to his room and his mother, Jordan made a quick phone call to her best friend, Riley.
