Chereads / Labyrinth (English Version) / Chapter 5 - No Way Out

Chapter 5 - No Way Out

The man walked leisurely, still holding his head in his left hand, and started to whistle as he stepped away from Angga's place. The whistling sounded very cheerful, but the whistling sound would also be a sign and also trauma for Angga who is now trying to remember in his brain, if he hears it he must immediately run. It had become like a warning to him at this point.

Angga sat up from his place and turned to look at the man who was now turning into one of the corners that somehow could suddenly appear in front of him as if the labyrinth was alive and changing places without Angga's awareness.

The whistling voice of the man is now slowly fading, and Angga can only hear it like a small faint sound that eventually disappears a few seconds later. It also made Angga heave a sigh of relief because he managed to escape a terrible death.

Angga also thought about why the man was whistling like that, after he guessed why he did that, Angga finally had an assumption that was strong enough to answer the question that was in his mind, Maybe the whistle was deliberately made by the man in order to frighten anyone he had ever met, and that would also be of use to him from now on.

Feeling that the man had completely disappeared from his territory, Angga immediately moved from his place and decided to immediately get out of the maze. He certainly didn't want to deal with a psychopathic man who held his head in his left hand, he also thought that maybe he wasn't the only psychopath in the labyrinth. And because of that, Angga is running pretty fast at the moment, trying to find a way out. However, the efforts made by Angga seemed in vain, he finally found the fact that the solution he was looking for was never easy to find. Angga's perception at that time appeared after he ran until all his strength was drained, but he still couldn't find a single gap or exit gate from the maze.

"Hh… hh… Damn…" Angga cursed to himself.

Angga felt very confused that day, because he was just about to get up from his slump and wanted to fight again to live and get back on his feet from the harsh blows he had received and felt lately, had to make Angga feel depressed again and even more than before.

Angga felt that he could go crazy if he was in this labyrinth for too long, and again he had to be able to fight for his life to avoid the killer he just faced a few minutes ago. And again, Angga's mind is currently being confused by his thoughts, wondering how he can give Pak Syahmi a good reason in case he manages to get out of the maze and is asked about his absence from attending an important meeting today.

He shook Angga's head to dismiss the thought, he turned his gaze to the watch he was wearing, but Angga felt something strange when he saw that the watch he was wearing had stopped moving.

Of course, this made Angga feel strange because the watch he was wearing was an automatic watch (a watch without a battery, and only relies on the rotor as its drive). Angga also believed that he had moved the rotor (a mechanical device that rotates) on his automatic watch, and in the end, it was this incident that made Angga question himself again about the place he is currently standing.

"What place is this?? Why can't my watch be used for a while?" Angga said wondering to himself, he knew that he couldn't answer that question, that's what made him decide to go back to walking after he had tilted his head to the left to get rid of all the confusing questions from himself.

Step by step Angga went back through the maze, and after a long time he walked, he just realized something that made him quite surprised cause of it. When Angga tilted his head upwards, he found that the sky was not like the sky he usually saw. Angga carefully looked at the sky, and even narrowed his eyes to finally realize that the sky above him was clearly different from the sky in the world.

Not a single cloud is present adorning the sky that is above Angga's head at this time, not the slightest. Even Angga realized that he did not find the sun that usually towers above the sky, even though the atmosphere was bright, but he did not find anything above the sky. A sense of confusion arose, and in the end, thousands of questions came behind him, regarding the place he is currently standing.

"Actually, where am I??" muttered Angga to himself again.

There was no escape, neither cloud nor sun. Angga believes that he is not in the world, but he also becomes curious about it. 'if it is true that I am not on earth, then what is this place? Why am I in a place like this?' That's the question that alighted in Angga's mind.

Not getting an answer and he was too tired, Angga decided to stop walking and sat leaning against the wall of the labyrinth. Thirst ran through his body, but he did not find any water until he felt that he would die in two ways, die at the hands of the psychopath or die slowly from dehydration.

Yes, those are the only two ways of death that will be faced by Angga at this time. Thinking about that, made Angga chuckle in annoyance, he didn't want to die that way, either killed… or dehydrated. He didn't want that kind of death.

"No ... I don't want to die as that" Angga muttered to himself, he shook his head and looked to the right, then to the left.

He tries to find a way out, even though he doesn't find it, but Angga doesn't give up and assumes that there must be a way out, it's just that Angga hasn't found it yet.

There is no room without an exit, and there is no problem without an exit. That's why Angga is sure that he will find a way out of this place sooner or later.

"Okay ... you can't give up Ga ... you can, sure ... there must be a way out!" murmured Angga encouraging himself, and therefore he nodded in response.

BLAME!!

Angga was not kidding, after the clear sky above suddenly turned pitch black. Angga could not see clearly, the incident again made him panic again. He felt that the experience he had gone through now could be a trauma in his future, and it was very bad for him.
