The carriage finally arrives at the Hanjiao outer servant sect and makes its way through the walls guarding the Hanjiao outer servant village. The coachman gets off of the horse in front and comes back behind the carriage to open the door. The man looked to be in his early 30s and was quite obese, however, his skin was glistening and he even looked to have a fake wig on his head, he seemed to be extremely proud of his looks.
Suddenly, as he opened the door to the back of the carriage, the door slammed open. Inside stood a skinny young man that looked to be around 15 having dark red hair and eyes as red as crimson blood. The entire left side of his torso had been bandaged and he looked to be smiling. This was of course Light.
"Finally! I have arrived!" He shouted out into the sky. Light was feeling very refreshed as the cool air of the mountain peak hit him. After this, he looked down at the man below him standing on the ground and stopped smiling. "Who are you fatty?" Light said.
The obese man was flabbergasted. Even looking behind himself as to ask if the young man was talking to him. "Fat!? How dare you! I am the very slim and handsome prince of the carriage clan that is in charge of all carriages in and out of the legendary Hanjiao sect!" The man said with pride. His fat stomach could be seen jiggling through his clothes.
"Alright man, where am I staying?" Light ignored the man's pride and simply asked him where he was going to stay. He wanted to immediately check out his living conditions. The fat man simply pointed towards a one-story building with a blue roof, still baffled and also confused about how the young man spoke.
As Light walked over to the building, he noticed that the building was of an Asian style. He also noticed many buildings that were identical to it all around him. There were a total of three of these buildings just in front of the gate of the outer servant sect.
The three were on the north, west, and east of the gate that was on the south, having a good-sized field in the middle of the three that was about 100 by 100 meters. Light entered the building where he was going to stay and sees nothing but a large room with nothing but windows and bunk beds, no couch, no kitchen, not even a bathroom.
The bunk beds were lined up against the walls and there were also already about ten servants that were only a little bit older than Light already living there, doing their things. Most servants were trying to cultivate while others were talking to each other. Light didn't pay any mind to them however, he simply walked to the bed that was on the opposite side of the door and sat down.
The moment he stepped inside of the building, everyone had fully noticed him and had stopped talking. For about an entire minute, there was nothing but silence. The servants looked to see if the new guy would say or do anything, maybe introduce himself, but he didn't. They thought that he was probably scared to death seeing all of these people and nervous to speak.
'Wow, what a crappy living space. I'll need to fix every single bit of this. These bastards looking at me also need an attitude adjustment, looking at me for so long..." Light was thinking to himself about what he would do in the next coming days.
As he was in thought, the voice of the system sounded in his head again.
'Yes.' Light thought.
The system then spent quite a long time describing and informing Light all about cultivation.
According to the system. Cultivation was the practice of strengthening your dantian, or in other words your qi ocean, to its maximum capacity to enable it to break through into another realm and increase the power of the cultivator drastically. Apparently, everyone could cultivate and strengthen their bodies, but many strong cultivators used different cultivation techniques to become powerful much faster.
These cultivation techniques would be given to sect disciples of many strong sects but could also be found in dungeons where ancestors left behind their legacies. Cultivation techniques also had rankings in terms of how effective they were. Going from weakest to strongest, the list is as follows. Weak, Ordinary, Great, Legendary, Supreme. In cultivation, there were said to be multiple realms, the first two being the qi refinement realm and the foundation establishment realm. Each realm had 9 smaller stages inside of it that one had to break through before attempting to break through the realm itself.
'Wow, that is a lot of information.' Light says in his head after the bombardment of information from the system. Thankfully, however, he grasped the idea of pretty much all of it.
'A gift?' Light wondered.
After hearing this, Light was overjoyed. 'What!? That's amazing!' light said in his mind. Instantly, he felt a large burst of qi erupting from his dantian and spreading all over his body, connecting to all of his meridians. He could already feel a drastic change in strength.
Light opened his eyes and looked down at his body. His muscles were slightly bigger and more defined. It gave Light a good feeling. Just then, amid the conversation, he heard something that caught his attention.
"Did you hear that the outer sect disciple assessment is coming up soon?" A kid said excitedly
"Yea! I wonder if there will be another Zhou Fan to pop up this year!" Another kid spoke.
"Yeah right! Someone as great as Zhou Fan who got the attention of the elders and became one of the sect elders from humble servant beginnings is never gonna appear ever again!"
"Haha! I will become Zhou Fan to rise above from these servant shackles!"
"Keep dreaming."
As the kids continued to laugh, A light bulb sparked up in Light's mind. 'Perfect! This was the opportunity I was looking for!' He thought while devilishly smirking.
"Oi!" Light says out loud. "Get me something to eat!" he puts his hands behind him and crosses his leg, sitting in a comfortable position. The entire room stops talking instantly. "Hah?" A kid says in an irritated tone and cocky tone.
"Hahaha, who does this kid think he is?" Another servant laughs. The servants all gather up in front of Light slowly, cracking their knuckles and necks. "Who are you talking to?" They ask.
Light looks at everyone consecutively...
10 minutes later.
Light is still in the same position, his fist is slightly bruised and red. In front of him are ten servants on their knees with their hands together, beaten black and blue. "What was it that you were saying a couple of minutes ago?" Light asked.
"Nothing young master! Please tell us anything to do and we will happily do it!" A kid replied smiling. Everyone looked at the kid with worry in their expressions. They all were thinking as to why the kid would talk.
Light looked at the kid who spoke. "Why are you smiling?" Light said. The kid was dumbfounded and immediately stopped smiling. He at this moment was afraid for his life. Light's gaze felt like a poisonous serpent's deadly eyes.
Light then looked away and eased the atmosphere almost immediately. "Get me something to eat." Light said.
----------
Three days had passed. Light had continued to cultivate using only basic cultivation these past days, his cultivation progress was quite slow. From the early third stage of the qi refinement realm, he had only gotten to the peak of the third stage qi refinement realm. This was still quite fast speed when it came to normal humans, but it simply wasn't enough for Light. He had also enforced even more control over his new servants, making them clean the entire room multiple times a day and do other chores over and over again.
Light didn't like his speed of cultivation at all, although it was faster than normal, it simply felt slow. He thought of getting a strong cultivation technique from the sect itself but he was currently only a servant, the real sect wouldn't even bat him an eye. He then remembered what the system said the first time it explained cultivation.
Dungeons. Places where ancestors left behind their belongings, including their own cultivation techniques. 'Perfect!' Light thought to himself. With no way to know where a dungeon was, he decided to ask the system.
Light was delighted at this news. 'Perfect!' He said before getting up from his bed and immediately dashing out of the room. Because of the system, Light also healed much faster than normal. The wounds on his body were already fully healed.
Everyone was stunned at the speed of the dash. "Holy shit! That monster is finally out of here. He has been sitting on that bed for three days straight!" A kid yelled. "He's not even a monster at this point, but a demon!" Another kid said.
"Shh! Be quiet! What if he's still just around the corner or forgot something! I wouldn't even be surprised if he put up a listening device to punish us." Another one yelled at the group.
