After recovering, Light made his way back to the servant sect and spent the entire night thinking about his soul bond.
Next morning.
Light woke up to his roommates already swiping down every nook and cranny that there was. For some reason, they seemed to be having fun!? This confused Light quite a bit but it wasn't that big of a deal. He still did his routine check-up on everyone and noticed that three were gone. Du, Lu, and Pu were all missing, probably skipping out on their work.
'They will get a real good beating the next time I see them.' Light thought to himself.
In servant room 25.
"Du, Lu, Pu, are you saying that there is another bum who is trying to overthrow my reign of the servant sect!?" Said a big and burly 16-year-old kid that looked to be absolutely heated.
"Yes, young master Han! That is precisely what we are saying! Not only that, but he is way too harsh, dare I say even harsher than you!" Du said.
Han looked at Du with an angry expression. "What did you say!?" Han barked at Du. "I apologize young master Han! You are the strongest and harshest ruler that there is!" Du said as he bowed his head.
Han snarled before looking in the direction of Du, Lu, and Pu's servant room. "Room number eight huh? That's it, I've made up my mind. This guy named Light will die by my hands today!" Han said before barging his way towards servant room number eight.
Room number eight.
Light decided to finally use the new cultivation technique that he acquired. After ordering everyone to get out of the room, Light pulled out the great blood art cultivation technique from the systems inventory and unrolled it. The scroll held intricate contents of how to perform the cultivation technique exactly.
After Light memorized how to do it, the scroll slowly disappeared into thin air. It was a one-time use cultivation technique. Light then crossed his legs and closed his eyes and started to cultivate. He could immediately feel the drastic difference in cultivation speeds. All of the qi around him started to turn red and enter his dantian through all of his meridians like rivers leading to an ocean.
All of Lights meridians increased greatly in size in a matter of minutes. Just in 20 minutes, Light broke through into the fourth stage of qi refinement. Light was quite happy with the results. As Light cultivated, he started to hear a lot of noise in his surroundings. The noise got louder and louder before it fully caught Light's attention.
Light opened his eyes and got up from his bed. 'These retards are gonna get a beating today.' Light said as he walked outside. To his surprise, none of his roommates were outside where he had told them to stay. Light then looked to the field in front of servant room number eight and noticed a crowd of over 300 people yelling something.
Light got a bit curious as to why these people were crowded up randomly and decided to check it out.
He made his way through the crowd of people and arrived at the middle of the circle. After arriving there, he saw a burly 16-year old that looked to be around six feet tall and over 170 pounds yelling something at every one.
"Who is the king of the servant sect!" Han yelled.
"King Han! King Han!" The crowd replied.
It was a full-on rally.
"Who is going to die today!" Han yelled out to everyone again.
"Light! Light!" The crowd replied.
Light's casual expression immediately changed. "Huh?" Light said in scorn.
"Who is going to die!?" Light yelled out to the crowd. Everyone immediately stopped talking and looked at Light.
Many did not know who Light was, but now that the opponent of their master had arrived, they decided to quiet down to see the full fight and trash talk between the two fighters.
After silence fell upon the servant sect, one sole servant that was next to Light hadn't seemed to have read the room yet and was still saying "Light! Light!"
Bang!
A single punch sent the servant flying a couple of meters away into the ground. To everyone, Light was clearly very serious. Although they knew that Han had just recently broken through into the third qi refinement realm and couldn't be beaten by anyone in the servant sect, Light still had quite a menacing aura about him.
Little did they know, Light was actually quite ecstatic. This was the perfect chance for him to stand out and catch the attention of the higher-ups. The heavens had given him a free chance! He decided that the best way to catch attention right now was to become a devilish character.
Light walked over to Han. Everyone was full of anticipation. "Fight! Fight!" The crowd roared.
"So, you think you can defeat me? The great Han?!" Han yelled at Light. Before Light could reply, Han took out a large rod and swung it at Light's abdomen. Light quickly jumped over the rod and punched Han square in the nose.
The punch broke Han's balance, causing him to fall flat on his ass.
'What?' Light was caught off guard by this. Han quickly stood back up, his eyes slightly teary from the nose punch. "A lucky punch!" He yelled again before attacking Light with a barrage of rod stabs.
The stabs were stupidly slow to Light, they were easy to dodge. Han stopped for a second to rest, giving Light an opening. He quickly jumped up again and used his hand to swiftly cut Han's forehead.
The skin on Han's forehead quickly split open as blood gushed out all over his face. It wasn't a deep wound but it looked incredibly frightening. "Argh!" Han exclaimed before falling down again, this time not wanting to get back up. "Fine! I lose! You're far superior! Forgive me for my actions!" Han said to Light as he tried to stop the bleeding by holding his hands over his forehead.
Another surprising message from the system. 'What? Well, I guess there is no other choice.' Light thought to himself.
Everyone in the crowd was roaring as they saw the first-ever defeat of the great Han. They then all saw Light encroaching Han.
"He is going to help him up! What an amazing person!" One kid yelled out.
"It seems that he is humble even in victory! A great person indeed!" Another said.
Han also chuckled a little bit awkwardly, he was embarrassed, and getting this kind of pity from his opponent was even more embarrassing.
Light walked up to Han and sliced his throat open, causing him to die almost immediately. All of the cheering came to a slow stop as everyone realized what they had just witnessed.
"What?"
"Don't tell me..."
"How vile."
"How could you do such a thing to someone who had already admitted defeat!?"
"He's a monster... no, a demon!"
The crowd was dumbfounded.
Light however was smiling. This was the perfect excuse for his name to be spread around easier, he had to take advantage of this opportunity while almost everyone in the entire servant sect was here.
"Bow down!" Light yelled at the crowd. Everyone in the crowd became even more dumbfounded, but none of them had ever experienced seeing someone die, they couldn't help but bow down in shock and in fear of their own life.
Light started to laugh maniacally after everyone was on their knees. Some in the crowd couldn't help but cry. The situation was far too overwhelming. They had no idea what would happen to them.
"This is more like it!" Light said with eyes as wide as two planets, looking at everyone and smiling. Although most of this was an act, there was a hint of truth to what Light was saying. Having everyone bow down in front of him felt exhilarating! A sense of control and power was what Light yearned for.
After a minute or so, the laughing stopped. Looking up, the servants saw that Light was no longer there. He had already left quite a while ago. Everyone heaved a sigh of relief as they got themselves up and went back to their daily lives, traumatized. In the next coming days, Light's name started to rapidly spread across the entire servant sect, reaching the ears of many people.
