After a while, Mauricio took a deep breath, as if he was trying to restrain himself from revealing his true self to the girl.
"Just listen to me, whomever the man you've met recently, stay away from him, since he'll ruin both your life and our relationship." He explained that's why Sierra stared at him as if she couldn't believe what the young guy was saying, and how she was puzzled as to why she had been pulled away from him earlier, as well as the final thing she stated.
"Why? What's wrong with that man? And when did I accept and reciprocate your love? Mauricio, we don't have a relationship; I can't afford to be with you, and now you know why." Sierra's statement was emphasized, giving Mauricio a reason to leave their house agitated, but the girl's interest was piqued even more when she heard the last thing the man said before he departed.
"I am not letting you and Sullivan be together again, Sierra. I'm the only man for you in this new chapter of your life."
"Are you okay?" Acadia's voice, still trembling from hugging her sister, turned to see what was happening to her.
"I need to see that man again, Acadia. I've always assumed Mauricio's behavior was bizarre, and when he saw this flower, his actual nature revealed itself; I need to discover why he has been obsessed with me since the beginning. I need to know who I am." Sierra stated that she did not need to wait for another opportunity since she would be gripped by dread and curiosity once more, and she would get restless if her thoughts were disturbed. She believes that the man she saw earlier, whom she believes to be named Sullivan, can help her.
Acadia didn't do anything else except let her sister depart, closing their door in the anticipation that Mauricio would return to their house and maybe do something awful again, contrary to what he had shown Sierra previously.
Meanwhile, Sierra seemed to have given up hope of ever seeing the man who had hit her previously and being able to answer her questions during those periods when she hadn't seen him. She sought the man everywhere for a few days till it became a week and she never saw him again. She was on the verge of touring their home merely to see it, but fate maybe had other ideas.
"Have you seen the guy you met the other week?" Acadia asks a question to her sister, who is now sitting quietly in a corner, appearing to be thinking intently once again, knowing that Sierra is no longer thinking about their future, if not about the guy she is seeking.
"Not yet, but perhaps fate will meet us again. I'm curious about a lot of things, Acadia. I am not sure, and I think he has all the answers I'm seeking for." Sierra answered, then got his arrows and knives ready to go hunting in the forests once more. She normally spends three nights in the forest seeking animals in order to catch as many as possible when she comes home.
"Anyway, it's utterly dreadful how Mauricio has been acting recently; he doesn't come inside our house but constantly keeps an eye on us from the outside, and I am not aware why his behavior has changed since he discovered about the mystery man who brings you a tulip flower," Acadia recalls that in the past, she had spotted Mauricio usually observing them outside the home, thus it appears that her decision to keep it for her sister has altered.
"That's why I'd want to speak with the apathetic man I encountered. I'm experiencing a strange sensation that I can't put my finger on." Sierra claims that for some strange reason, her voice was filled with incredulity.
"I am leaving, be cautious here. I will be hunting for more than three days because it's rainy and I know there aren't many animals wandering the forest." Sierra said this and kissed her sister on the forehead before putting on her backpack, which held her three-day food supply as well as her sleeping tent.
Sierra was walking silently, now that she was in the midst of the forest, and she didn't know why, but she was nervous as if there was danger lurking within her. She took a big breath as she closed her eyes, and it was only when she opened her eyes that she heard gunshots, forcing her to bow down; she was in the thick of a conflict and had no idea how to get out of her present situation.
She was just crying because she was so worried that it was already her final day. She was aware that the Spaniard and his fellow Filipinos were fighting once again, and she was unfortunate enough to find herself in the middle of the battleground, where the two sides were exchanging shots.
"Captain-General, there's a woman in the center of our battleground who appears to be nervous; do you want us to shoot her? Perhaps she's one of the warriors fighting against our leadership." muttered a Spanish male soldier now stationed next to Caspian, the new Captain General of Manila.
After he had spoken that their ostensible leader quickly turned to face a woman in the distance who appeared afraid as she covered her two ears. Caspian instantly recognized the girl's features as she turned to face her. She was the lady with whom he had previously collided, and he quickly stopped his colleagues from firing the pistol out of an unexplainable concern for her.
"Deja de disparar armas!" (Stop firing weapons!) His yell drew the attention of other Spaniards to follow him. Despite the fact that their troops were stronger than the opponents, they were perplexed as to why Caspian claimed this.
"Blow the trumpet as an indication that we're going to give up the fight." As he said those remarks, the young man's voice was full of earnestness.
Caspian was thirty years old and the youngest general selected by the Spaniards since they recognized his ability and intelligence when it came to warfare, and he didn't merely lose. As a result, other Spaniards are bound to be perplexed by what he has just said.
"But, Captain-General, you don't let fights go to nothing, do you?" A Spanish soldier's justification for making him look at it badly.
"I'd rather lose the war than let that woman die." Caspian's last words before running fast towards Sierra, who was still terrified and trembling all over her body due to the gunshots she had heard, even though she wasn't sure if the environments were safe and the opponents in the place were gone, he ignored it because all he had on his mind at the time was to hug the girl and take away her fear.
When he arrived at the girl's direction, he hugged her right away, regardless of whether she was unhappy with what he had done. The key thing was for her to know she wasn't alone. Who wouldn't be terrified when their life is in danger? As he hugged the woman, her whole body began to shake as she sobbed.
