The conversation between Nial and Jayke is now starting to get better.
The two of them started to disagree with each other like before, where the two usually didn't have a meeting point between the two, and usually, their fights often ended with endless bickering, or Jayke chose to just end it, and of course, Nial never once felt satisfied, or he wants to give in because basically, Nial is the type who always wants to win from Jayke without caring that he has faults with Jayke or anyone else.
If the conversation started with light talk, then now the conversation between the two began to lead to heavier things than before.
"You don't want to rejoin me in our family company?" Nial asked, starting now in a more tactful tone.
To be honest, Jayke himself was a little surprised by the question as well as the tone of voice from Nial which sounded unusual to his ears.
"Are you really okay Nial?" Jayke asked who returned to confirm Nial's condition which he thought was unusual.
Nial took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
A smile that seemed to be forced by Nial to give to Jayke, so that the young man believed that he was fine.
Inevitably, Jayke, who was in front of Nial, was forced to try to believe what was in front of him, although of course in his heart he felt that there was something odd about Nial.
"Why are you asking things that I don't think are important Nial? Don't you also know my answer, that I was never interested in the scope of that business, then why are you now cornering me forcing me to enter that circle?" Jayke asked back to Nial in a tone that was starting to sound a bit harsh.
He doesn't know why he is starting to get carried away with emotions for no reason. Nial sighed again and nodded his head a few times.
"You haven't changed, Jayke," Nial whispered suddenly.
The reflex of Jayke's hand massaging his tired head, until he realized that he had almost forgotten the agreement he had previously said to Carla.
Soon Jayke took out his cell phone from his pocket and typed a message that he was now at The Royal hotel room 1025 with Nial. After the young man got a reply from Carla, this time he was sure that after Carla had set the clock which was only 20 minutes running time, the girl would call him. which means Jayke can't stay there for long, no matter what!
He was sure that the longer he stayed there, the more uncomfortable he became.
Nial is now sitting up straight and his aura seems to dominate the room itself.
"The company is not doing well Jayke, I need someone to trust, and now regardless of the relationship between myself and you in the past, I still think you are the one who can be trusted, can't we work together?" asked Nial looking at Jayke more seriously than before.
Jayke of course furrowed his brows in confusion. Honestly, he didn't understand what Nial was talking about at all. He remembered well that his brother's face was in Forbes magazine and his twin brother looked so confident in that magazine.
Then where is the problem? Has he missed anything?
That's more or less the subject of questions by Jayke, who is now in front of Nial.
"Did you know that Dad has almost two years of having a rare disease?" Nial whispered, careful and full of emphasis in every word he said.
Suddenly Jayke's eyes narrowed sharply, not to mention his body felt tense at hearing the question that was beyond his expectations.
His heartbeat is now beating faster.
This is not the kind of thing he wants to hear from Nial, his twin brother.
"Since when exactly Nial? Why didn't I know about it at all?" Jayke asked Nial with his heart that seemed to be in pain just torn apart when he heard that statement from his twin brother.
Nial didn't answer right away but first looked at Jayke closely.
"More precisely after you contacted Dad, and I think you still remember the last time you called dad. Tsk, last year… you didn't call dad, did you?"
That sentence was able to make Jayke's defense a little shaky. Oh, come on he doesn't like news like that. How could he have missed such a thing? Is what Nial said the truth? If so, how could he have missed such a crucial thing?
"Then where is Mom?" Jayke asked, now starting to think about the family he left behind for a long time because he didn't like any debates or comparisons, things that were always accidentally thrown out of his parents' mouths.
To be honest, leaving his family was not an easy thing for him, it's just that he was too fond of his twin he finally decided to leave the big house where he had been there for quite a long time.
"Mom is with me, so is Dad, it's just that I feel strange with Dad's behavior lately Jayke, and for that reason, I tried to find you and decided to meet you," said Nial trying to come up with an explanation.
Jayke furrowed his brows in confusion, What did Nial actually want to say to him? Why did the young man seem to twist the story and complicate things?
"Tell me Nial, I don't understand what you mean, what exactly are you trying to tell me? Can you keep it short?" Jayke whispered, getting more and more excited by Nial's story, not to mention that the clock on Jayke's wrist showed that the minute hand was starting to show that ten minutes had passed, which meant he only had ten minutes before Carla called him, which Carla meant to call as a benchmark that he had been with his twin brother long enough.
"That rare disease wasn't caused by heredity or anything like that, but Dad said someone wanted to kill him."
Thump!
Once again Jayke seemed to be gasping at Nial's statement, not to mention that Jayke could see Nial's eyes that were continuously unfocused and looking around him, as if he was afraid that someone would harm him, just like his father.
"Hey, you don't have to be weird Nial, this isn't funny! Why did you come to that conclusion? Didn't you say that so I could help you, didn't you?" Jayke whispered who still couldn't believe it.
Nial spontaneously, of course, dodged Jayke's words, who didn't believe him.
"You know my reason why I was able to turn to Judith and leave Carla?" Nial whispered suddenly.
Jayke, who previously seemed lazy to talk to Nial, who he thought his twin brother was just a brag, now seemed to be waiting for the continuation of Nial's words.
"That's because Judith is the girl who takes care of Dad, she helped heal Dad from close, Jayke, for that slowly my heart moved for her, and the space for Carla that previously belonged to her was getting eroded and filled by Judith alone."
"Tsk, the reason is, if you really wanted to leave Carla, you'd be a gentleman and tell her face-to-face, not that you just broke up after you were with Judith and Carla caught you."
Thump!
"I-I never told you about it, how did you know about it Jayke?" Nial was surprised when Jayke made it clear that he knew a girl named Carla.
"None of your business Nial!"
Jayke who was annoyed chose to go to the toilet in the hotel room.
He doesn't know why suddenly he wanted to wet his face with water to cool his increasingly branching thoughts that had no common ground. Not to mention he felt so emotional when he heard Carla's name being mentioned.
.
.
Time was running, and just at the time that Jayke and Carla had promised, the girl contacted him.
Jayke of course immediately picked up the phone without thinking.
"I'm sorry Car-"
"Arrgh!!!"
BRUGH!
A loud shriek, as well as the sound of bodies falling, could be heard outside the bathroom.
Jayke spontaneously who was in the toilet immediately came out of the bathroom.
"Jayke, what's wrong? Is there have a problem? Are you all right?" asked Carla over the phone.
Without thinking, the cell phone that was still connected to Carla he immediately put in his pocket, while he ran out closer to the source of the sound.
.
.
"Nial!!" Jayke screamed when he found Nial's body which had fallen on the floor with his hands looking stiff, not to mention his body that looked limp and helpless as if the limb muscles that he had previously been able to use well were now unable to be used again.
"D...-daddy is..-ri..ght Jay..-"
"Don't talk too much! I'll call an ambulance!"
With difficulty, Nial grabbed Jayke's hand.
"Please go..now! help me... Jayke."
"Are you crazy?!"
Nial didn't say anything other than holding Jayke's hand with a look that seemed to beg him.
'Calm down Jayke, you have to make the right decision, Nial has been counting on you so you can't let him down.' Jayke's monologue in the heart trying to calm down
