ALESTER:
Alester knocked on Samantha's door, or he would have if he knew what room she was in. Instead, he wandered aimlessly, trying to sort out which door was hers. He was sure it had to be one of the doors on the second floor. It's where most guests stayed. However, he wouldn't have put it past his dad to give her a room on the bottom floor, the ones preserved for outsourced workers. He doubted his mother would have allowed such a thing. Then again, he never would have thought his dad would have either until his dad wanted to kick Samantha out.
But Alester had seen her on the second floor and he felt confident that was where she would be.
He paced around the halls of the second floor, hoping that he might see Samantha leaving her room, coming out of her room, or that somehow Samantha's door would jump out at him yelling, "It's me! I'm her door! She's here!" Of course, it didn't, she didn't.
