The wedding day arrived, and the party was held at Jasmine's house because this was one of Jasmine's requirements to marry Dean. Jasmine has always wanted a simple wedding held at her home.
The father and mother agreed to Jasmine's wishes and Dean and his family. They didn't mind all that. Instead, they were happy with what Jasmine wanted.
"You look beautiful, honey," said the mother, who had just entered the room.
Jasmine just looked at her mother, who already seemed very beautiful too. Even though she is old, her mother is still no less beautiful than her.
"Mom, looks pretty too," Jasmine replied.
"You are a beautiful bride, I hope after this marriage you can live happily. Try to forget the past and open your heart to the man who will be your husband," The mother said as she touched Jasmine's hands.
The mother didn't want to see her daughter's marriage crumble so quickly because Jasmine couldn't open her heart to her husband. Because no matter how hard her husband's efforts will be, if Jasmine doesn't open her heart, all of that is meaningless.
"I do not know. Can I do what you say or not," Jasmine said as she turned her head away.
"You can do it because you are my daughter," said the mother.
Jasmine sighed. She could only try to do what she could. She also didn't know how Dean would behave with him.
There was a little fear in her heart that Dean would be cold towards her because Jasmine knew Dean like that. There was a knock on the door, and the mother told the person to come in. Diana saw who opened the door, smiling as she walked in.
"You're here? Shouldn't you be there with your brother?" The mother asked Diana.
"Mom, can't I see my best friend?" Diana asked back in a childlike tone.
The mother smiled, then she said to wait here for a while and accompany Jasmine. She immediately walked out when she saw Diana's head nod. It means that her daughter's best friend agrees with her request.
"How do you feel?" Diana asked Jasmine, who was still standing in front of the mirror.
"I don't know," Jasmine replied curtly.
Diana looked back at Jasmine, and she felt that her best friend was not happy with this marriage. However, all of this was for Jasmine's good and Dean's.
She prefers that Dean is married to her best friend because there is something she can't say about Dean. She just gave Dean a chance to tell Jasmine everything so that her best friend will know something that she buried for a long time.
Diana's cell phone vibrated. She took it out of her bag. She looked at her cellphone screen and wrote her mother's name. She picked up the phone, and she heard what her mother said, telling her to come back immediately.
After saying that, Diana hung up the phone. She looked around the room. There was no one except Jasmine.
"Go. I'm okay," Jasmine said to Diana.
"Serious? Does not matter? Isn't your mother here yet?" Diana kept asking Jasmine because she was worried about her best friend.
"Hurry up and go," Jasmine replied, and Diana nodded her head and walked out of the room.
Time seemed long, and Jasmine was still sitting in her room and waiting for someone to tell her that things would start soon. There was a knock on the bedroom door, and it slowly opened. She has seen a very mother who walked in with her trademark smile.
"It's time, let's go out," the mother said as she helped the princess to stand.
They strolled out, exploring every inch of the house. Jasmine's heart began to feel uneasy. Did this marriage have to happen? Can she not cancel this marriage? Because she believes that this marriage will only result in disappointment and sadness.
Dean saw Jasmine walking closer. In his mind said that this woman he was going to marry looked so beautiful.
"What is it? She's beautiful isn't she?" Diana whispered to Dean.
"Shut up!" Dean said coldly.
The bride and groom have arrived, the wedding ceremony begins. They finally became husband and wife legally. The look of relief on the faces of the mother and father after seeing their daughter married to the man they thought could make Jasmine happy.
"Show me your smile, honey. Don't give bad judgment in the eyes of the invited guests," whispered the mother to Jasmine.
Jasmine was a little surprised the mother said that, but what the mother said was true. If she shows happiness, then there will be gossip, making her father's name terrible in their eyes.
She finally tried to smile, showing her happiness over her marriage to Dean. However, he saw by Diana that the smile that appeared was fake.
"I hope that you can smile freely because you are happy," Diana muttered.
"What do you mean?" Dean asked to make sure what his ears heard.
"It's okay. I hope you can make my best friend happy," Diana replied with a smile and then walked closer to Jasmine.
Jasmine saw Diana walking closer. Her best friend's gentle smile was visible. She didn't think that Diana would immediately hug her so that her body wobbled and almost fell. Luckily she was still able to balance her body.
"Are you crazy? What if we both fall?" Jasmine asked because of her friend's behavior.
"I'm happy that you are finally my sister-in-law," Diana explained happily, and then she let go of her hug.
"How about you? When are you going to marry him?" Jasmine asked the friend, who is now her sister-in-law.
Diana was silent, and she couldn't answer everything with certainty. She didn't get an answer to her friend's question.
Jasmine looked at Diana, and she was waiting for an answer from the woman in front of her. However, all of that diverted after someone's voice was heard, indicating that the wedding was over.
"Honey, aren't you tired?" Mother asked Jasmine.
Jasmine nodded, as she was already feeling tired but still wanted to know Diana's answer. However, Diana dodged and told her to rest, and she would go home with her parents.
"Diana," Jasmine called, who still wanted to hear an answer from her best friend.
"My struggle is still long…," Diana answered as she walked away from Jasmine.
"I know the journey you are about to take must be very difficult," Jasmine muttered as she walked towards her room.
