Chapter 28 - 28. Camila's Arrival

Jasmine was silent as she stood in front of the mirror, looking back at herself, who was still wearing her wedding dress. Now she is no longer the Jasmine Adam she used to be because today, she has turned into a wife of Dean Milles.

"Come in," Jasmine ordered someone knocking on her bedroom door.

The doorknob moved slowly, the bedroom door opened. Jasmine looked at the entrance to see who would enter her room.

"You,"

"Yes. It's me," Camila interjected, who was still walking closer.

Jasmine looked intently at Camila, and she wanted to know what this woman would do. It had been a long time since she had seen the woman before her. However, this time, there was something strange about Camila, and she didn't know what to say.

"Why did you marry another man? I thought you were going to marry Caesar," Camila asked Jasmine, who looked surprised by her question.

"What do you mean?" Jasmine asked back while trying to shake off her shock.

Camila didn't waste her time, and she said that her relationship with Caesar was over because she could no longer keep Caesar in her arms.

Everything that was in Camila's heart was revealed to Jasmine. It all made Jasmine be indecisive and feel sorry for having done this marriage.

"Read this. Later you will understand everything," Camila handed a letter to Jasmine, then she walked out and closed the bedroom door tightly.

Jasmine sat on the bed, and she didn't expect something like this to happen after her wedding to Dean. She opened the letter Camila had given her earlier and read it slowly so she wouldn't miss anything. Tears welled up in her eyes as she read the words one by one written in it.

Her heart ached reading all that wrote in it. Jasmine felt that she was so stupid, even so stupid. Now it's too late, Caesar will be gone for good, and he will never be able to meet again with the man he loves. She pounded her chest to relieve her heartache.

She heard footsteps getting closer to her. Jasmine quickly tidied everything up and kept the letter in a safe place so that no one else could find it.

She immediately wiped her tears and looked in the mirror to see whether the makeup on her face was messed up or not. Jasmine didn't want to be seen by others if she had been crying.

The bedroom door opened, and Dean walked in. He looked at Jasmine, who was still sitting at her dressing table. He looked at her intently, and this was the woman who was already his wife.

"Why did you agree to our wedding plans? If you still have him in your heart?" asked Dean, taking Jasmine by surprise.

Jasmine was silent because she was taken aback by Dean's question. She still couldn't digest the question, so she didn't know what to answer, and Jasmine wondered if Dean already knew about Caesar.

It had been two days since Jasmine's wedding, and it was a night that she could never forget because Dean knew that in Jasmine's heart, there was Caesar.

Dean's attitude grew colder towards Jasmine, and he busied himself with ongoing work. They rarely talk at all, but they look like a happily married couple in front of their father and mother.

"Mom, Dad, I will take Jasmine to Singapore. There's still a lot that I have to finish," said Dean, which surprised the mother because she wasn't ready to be abandoned by her daughter.

However, neither of them could stop Dean from taking her daughter away because now Jasmine has become a wife, and a wife must go wherever her husband is even though she had to leave her parents far away.

"When are you guys leaving?" asked the father.

"This afternoon," Dean replied curtly.

"This afternoon?" The mother asked in surprise.

While Jasmine was silent, she could only follow Dean's wants because she does not like to see her parents and the condition of her marriage.

"Everything is ready, we just have to go. While the rest we can get in Singapore, "explained Dean.

The mother sighed. She already understood and would not stop the two of them from leaving. Perhaps this move could make Jasmine open her heart to Dean and forget about Caesar.

After saying all that, Dean said goodbye to go back to the room, and he was about to prepare everything properly. He contacted his assistant to design what was needed.

"Are you ready?" The mother asked Jasmine.

"Yes," answered Jasmine briefly.

"You have to remember that you are now married and must attend to all of your husband's needs. I hope you can forget that man and open your heart to Dean," explained the mother who reminded Jasmine of who she is now is a wife.

"I understand, Mom," Jasmine answered. Then she got up and walked away from her mother and father.

With her current status, she knew that Caesar still had Caesar in her heart. Jasmine couldn't force her heart to accept Dean either.

Jasmine opened the door to her room, and she saw Dean was ready with a travel bag. She thought that maybe he would only irritate her even more in Singapore.

Jasmine can still endure all of Dean's cold attitude because she still sees her father and mother. However, things are different in Singapore because she will not stay silent with Dean's attitude that irritates her.

"Hurry up and pack. We're leaving!" Dean ordered Jasmine.

"Why didn't you tell me beforehand about our departure?" Jasmine asked Dean, who was sitting on the sofa.

"Didn't I ask for your passport yesterday?" Dean asked back in a flat tone.

Jasmine sighed then said, "Can't you have a nice talk with me?"

"Don't bait me. It's still at your house," Dean replied as he continued to open the email on his cellphone.

Jasmine was getting more and more annoyed, she walked closer to him. She pulled Dean's cell phone and put it on the table. She showed that she was not afraid of her.

"You really baited me!" Dean said as he took his phone back.

Jasmine got in the way, and she didn't want Dean to be busy with his work while she was talking to her. Maybe this is the selfishness of a Jasmine Adam.

"You piss me off, Jasmine! Do you want me to yell at you so mom and dad hear all this?" said Dean, who was getting annoyed.
