Two years have passed since the accident happened, and no one has talked about the accident. Jasmine is still carrying out her duties as CEO of Gold Hotel.
There was a rumbling in the sky that signalled that it would rain. Jasmine ran towards a bus stop to get some shade. That day she didn't bring her car because she would meet someone.
She took her cell phone out of her bag and looked at her phone screen. Not so long ago, a car stopped right in front of her. Jasmine looked at the car, and the car door opened, revealing a man smiling at her. Without saying much, Jasmine got into the car.
"What took you so long?!" complained the girl while putting on the safety belt.
"I'm sorry because I have something to do," continued the man as he started his car.
Jasmine continued to grumble, and it came to a halt when she heard the sound of lightning flashes as well as heavy rain. She felt uncomfortable about it, her hands clenched into fists to hold back something that scared her.
She screamed and closed her eyes and ears because she heard another flash of lightning and added to the impact that was so hard. The man immediately stopped the car because he was surprised to hear Jasmine's screams, plus there was an accident that occurred in the opposite direction.
"Jasmine, look at me and you should be able to calm yourself down," said the man while holding Jasmine's hand gently.
Jasmine still closed her eyes and ears; she was afraid when she heard the flash of lightning coupled with the heavy rain. And also, she listened to the crashing sound so loud. Jasmine always wondered if Jasmine had ever been in a car hit by another car. However, so far, she has never told what she feels because she does not want to make her father worry.
Jasmine tried to open her eyes and let go of her hands covering her ears. She looked in front of a car that had overturned because was it hit by a truck behind it.
She saw that, and for a moment, her heart tightened, even more, an image she had never seen before. Jasmine thought, was there something wrong with her? She tried to remember, but her head hurt.
"What is wrong with me?" Jasmine asked while holding her head which was so painful.
"Jasmine, calm down," the man said in a worried tone.
"Take me away from here," Jasmine said because she didn't want to see a car that had been overturned by being hit by another vehicle.
"Okay, let's get out of here," the man replied as he started his car.
The man started the car, still looking to the side. He was worried about Jasmine. He saw the woman beside him suffering so much, and the man decided to go somewhere.
He stopped his car right at a cafe, and he said, "I'll buy you some ice cream."
Jasmine looked at the cafe, and she smiled. She got out of the car and ran into the restaurant because it was still raining.
She looked for a comfortable place, and Jasmine also saw a table and chairs near the glass wall. She prefers it there because for her it is a comfortable place. After all, she can see outside.
"This is for you," The man said to Jasmine, who was sitting while looking outside.
Jasmine smiled as she saw the tiramisu flavoured ice cream, "You know what I like."
"Of course because I am Caesar who will always be by your side," replied the man with a smile.
Caesar is a famous pianist in his city, and he decides to go to Jakarta for his dream of becoming a renowned pianist. He looked at Jasmine and thought back to their first meeting when he was performing.
Jasmine smiled as she ate her ice cream. She remembered what he had done to her. She felt protected and also felt the warmth of Caesar, who was always there for her. And it's been going on for a year.
"What about your head? Does it still hurt?" Caesar asked Jasmine as he wiped the ice cream on the corner of his lips.
Jasmine shook her head and said, "The pain has lessened and it's because of this ice cream."
"You better not have to force yourself to remember it because it will hurt you," continued Caesar.
"Yes. I won't push myself anymore," Jasmine said.
Jasmine smiled, and she was also pleased with the man's presence in front of her. They also chatted and sometimes joked, so she didn't notice if someone watched them.
Caesar's cell phone rang, he took it and saw who was calling him. He ignored the call, but the person kept calling him. He finally picked up the phone and listened to what the other end had to say.
"I have to go because my dream is about to come true," Caesar said after he hung up.
"Go and good luck," Jasmine replied with a smile.
"I'll call you tonight," continued Caesar as he got up and walked away from Jasmine.
Jasmine ate the last scoop of ice cream, and she looked out through the glass wall beside her. She saw Caesar hugging a woman, and they got into the car.
"Am I stupid for expecting more?" Jasmine muttered.
