Morning came but the weather was cloudy today but just like any other morning I got up and after doing my daily things changed into my sportswear and went out of my room and then downstairs and then opened the door and I was out of the house as I started jogging.
After some time jogging, I thought of returning to the house as the weather was not looking too good and it might rain soon. And after that, I ran towards my house as it started raining but it was just some drizzle. As I increased my speed but I was still caught in the heavy downpour as I was just turning the corner. I could see my house in front of me but I was drenched in the heavy downpour before reaching it. I entered the house and then after saying," I am home." I ran straight to my room to get a shower.
After taking a shower I came downstairs to get some hot breakfast. As I sat on the chair and said," good morning father mother." And they also said," good morning Alex. x2." And my mother served me and my father our breakfast as I said," it seems today I won't be going to grandma and grandpa's house."
Father: " well if the rain stopped at that time then I will take you there but seeing it as it's pouring so much I don't think it will stop until the next morning."
As mother said," well it's okay as we will get to spend some time with each other and I will bake you some cake to liven up the gloomy mood caused by the rain. And you can go to their house if the rain stops."
I also nodded as I said," well, you are right mother if the rain stopped I will go there but why don't we all bake some more cake, and if it stopped raining I can take some of it for grandma and grandpa. "
But mother said," oh what a great idea Alex. And we can also enjoy some time with each other like a proper family. But I know why you said to bake extra cakes you glutton you just wanted to have more portions for yourself. Don't you."
As I said with some hurt expression," how can you say that to your own son's mother. Don't you think you are wrongly accusing me of using the excuse of baking the cake for grandma and grandpa as having extra portions for myself? You have hurt me, mother. "
And mother followed my acting as she chuckled and said," oh my poor Alex mother has wronged you. I'm sorry. Can you please forgive your mother as your mother was wrong?"
And I followed and said," well if you are asking and apologizing I will take an extra chocolate fudge as an apology and forgive you."
As she chuckled and said," well if you are ready to do so my little glutton I will make some right away. "
As I gave her a thumbs up and said," well that's my mother for you. "
Then we cleared the table and started preparing for the family baking day. We baked four types of cakes and cookies and my chocolate fudge as it was the most important. After baking, we cleaned up the kitchen and then went to our rooms to get a clean-up for ourselves. As I went towards my room and climbed the stairs and entered the room and went to the bathroom, and removed all my clothes and of course, I closed the door before removing my clothes.
After taking a bath and drying myself up I changed into new clothes as I went out of my room and then downstairs and into the living room I opened the T.V. and watched some shows as the rain continued to pour down and it looks like l will not be going to grandma and grandpa's house today. It would be so great if I could use magic in front of my parents and all the status of secrecy shit was not present. Alas, the muggle world is not accepting of the magical world but someday it will as things change with every generation and people will become open-minded.
But it will take a hell of a lot of time for that to happen. As I was thinking about all that mother and father came into the living room and sat on the other sofa as they also watched the show. We then had lunch and then I went to study as I would be going to a new school and it didn't take too much time to brush up on the muggle subjects as it's already been a long time since I last read any of them and even in my previous life I was a lot lazy and rich to take any of it too seriously as I had all the thing within my reach which any ordinary children often would not be able to dream of having.
And with the help of occlumency, it took me an hour and a half to memorize and understand all the topics which were needed to have a solid base for further/ higher studies. I went towards the bookshelf to keep the books and took out the new books I got from grandma and grandpa and some old charms books to study and learn more from them.
It was now evening time as I went towards the window of my room to look outside the street lamps were on and the rain which was pouring before was now only drizzling. And many people with their umbrellas opened were walking the streets and going to places. It was a lot less gloomy compared to before.
I left the windows open for the air to come inside as it contained with it the second of wet soil and grasses. ( correct me if I am wrong or if it is not right. People who visit the countryside would know about it.) I sat down on the bed and put the pillows behind my back and held a charms book in my hands and opened it.
After some time I closed the book and also closed the window. I went downstairs and into the living room as I sat on one of the sofas. My mother was watching a show and noticed me and said," you studied a lot more than you usually do. Did you face any problems in understanding the books you read?"
I shook my head and said," No mother after you showed me how to solve the problems in an easy to understand. It was quite fun so I took some more time and solved more problems."
Then mother said," it's good that you find it enjoyable."
And father also added with a chuckle," Haha well he had always loved to read books and was quite a curious kid. Always asking about one thing or another."
We talked some more about things and soon it was dinner time. We then moved toward the dining table and sat on the chairs. After eating our dinner and cleaning up the dishes we bid each other good nights and went to our beds.
---------(Time skip two days )------------
I was at grandma and grandpa's house at a crucial juncture as I was trying to complete the mind defense shield. My grandma and I were at it for nearly two hours as she attacked me with her legilimancy and I tried to block it with my occlumency shield and was also building up a new shield to complete my defense.
After half an hour later I was on the ground resting as sweat trickled all over my body as it was the hardest ordeal up till now that I have faced but I had a little smile on my face even when all the pain I was feeling could not suppress.
As grandma was also smiling and said," Very well done Alex to complete your mind shield this quickly it's commendable."
As I slowly sat back up and with a smile said," thank you grandma you have also worked hard in helping me complete it. "
But then she said something that made my smile vanish and I felt like someone poured cold water on me," well I will take that gratitude of yours but our work is not done as you still have to make a sub-mind shield also in layers for further protection then only we can say that you have completed the first stage of occlumency."
And for the first time in some time, I have been learning and enjoying the magic question myself why am I going through all this pain again and again? But then I mentally slapped myself as I know why I was doing it and I would do it even if I was going through hell ( did I raise a flag for MC maybe, maybe not ).
As I looked back and asked," when will we be doing that so that I can complete my defense at least and what are the other stages that I will be needing to complete to get my occlumency in optimal condition."
And after hearing me grandma smiled and said," well I for one didn't think that you would resolve yourself this quickly count me impressed." As I nodded and urged her to address the more important matter.
And she said," I will now tell you about the other stages of occlumency. The first one is the defense which you have already partially completed. The second one is Efficiency which helps you make your memory sharper and helps you to remember things easily and do things more 'efficiently' in this there also comes the mindscape which I will be you after you complete your defense shield. Now the third one is emotion as you know that emotions are one of the main aspects that make us humans as we can express ourselves better with the help of our emotions. And to keep it short this aspect of occlumency helps you to keep your emotion in check."
And after asking some questions that I had after knowing the other aspects of occlumency and getting answers I went to my room and got inside the bath to get a shower and asked candy to wash my clothes and dry them.
I was changing into my spare clothes as I have some of them here. I also heard a knock on the door as grandma was waiting for me to answer," I am changing clothes please wait." And after changing, I opened the door and went outside towards the main door as I asked," grandma why are we not going to the room."
And she answered," well today your grandpa asked me to call you outside as he wanted to have your lesson in the garden."
As I nodded and went toward the garden. And there he was standing with his back to us. As we came closer to him he said," Well Alex today we will be doing some gardening so are you up for it. "
As I looked at the plants and herbs I asked with a shocked face," How did you get those this quickly. And some of them are illegal to have for the normal magical populace."
As he grinned with quite a pride and also stocked his beard to give a sage vibe said," who do you think your grandpa is kid. Your grandpa is not a normal magical person of magical England."
As I replied in a flat tone," well if you ask me I would say an eccentric old man with a mischievous personality and lastly a whipped husband."
As he looked at me with wide eyes with a stumped face his hand was still in motion of stroking his beard but stopped in place now as I looked back at him with a smiling face that conveys take that old man. And I can also hear grandma trying hard to hold her laughter but she couldn't and then burst out laughing with little tears at the end of her eyes.
And grandpa who was stumped recovered himself as he tried to get himself away from his awkward position with two coughs he said," enough chit-chatting cone I will show you what are we going to do today."
And we all went with him towards the plants as I came close I felt like going through a transparent wall and when I looked back it was the same background where we were standing a few moments but then I looked back and now it was my time to be stumped as I saw a big ass greenhouse filled with plants and herbs and many other things as I whipped my head towards grandma and grandpa who were smiling and grandpa had once again the same grin and sage vibe as he shocked his beard.
As I felt it was hard to form sentences," how... When..... Why...." As I was overwhelmed by how they looked at me as their gaze told me that they did it for me.
Grandpa said cutting my half firming words," well I thought I would be going to teach you about the herbs and plants and many of them are used in potion-making so why not have more as the more the merrier. What say? Haha."
As it was hard for me to control my emotions but I still held them in as I walked toward them and gestured for them to come near me and as they came near I hugged them tightly as I was crying a little. ( when you are happy and felt like you should cry then cry it does not make you a cry baby when you are happy about something you should express it.)
Grandpa patted my back while grandma stroked my hair gently as I held them for some moments and then let them go as I said," well first of all thank you, and you guys are awesome and I love you guys. And secondly well I think I understand why so I will leave it at that."
Grandpa said," come let's go inside." And we all went inside the greenhouse.
----( Time skip two more days )-------
As usual, I was sitting in front of grandma and we were working on the later part of the mind defense shield as I tried to block her attacks with my shields.
I have almost completed my defensive layers as I was close to completing the current layer.
After some time we ended the lesson as I sprawled on the floor huffing and sucking a high amount of air in," close... Huff. So close...huff huff."
And grandma looked at me and said," well you were close to achieving your third last defense shield but you still have to look after your mind and body and do not push yourself hastily as you know haste makes waste. Rest for now I will call you when it's time. "
And I got up from the floor and went towards my room as I cast a cleaning charm on myself and once again sprawled on the bed.
After some time grandma came and knocked on the door as I woke up I didn't know when I went asleep as I opened the door and went outside with grandma toward the main door and then towards the big ass greenhouse.
As we entered we saw something that was inconceivable to me and grandma as I shouted," Grandpa what the..."

Hello readers Author here sorry about the late posting of the chapter as the previously written chapters got deleted and I had to write this one in a hurry so it became shorter than the previous chapters.
