Jack watches as Jesse rests his arm across Iona's shoulders as they walk back to their friends.
He turns to Aden, "Let's just get out of here."
"Okay."
"Hey, looks like there's a bonfire back on the other beach." Chris offers softly, seeing how hurt his friend is that his Link is with someone else and he's put himself in a position where he can't do anything about it.
Aden joins is leading him towards the parking lot. "Yeah, we can go enjoy the bonfire. Besides with you getting yourself grounded all the time we haven't had a night out in ages."
Jack forces a smile to hide the empty hole in his stomach. He nods not trusting his mouth to say the right words. So he walks off with them leaving her behind and climbs into the backseat. They turn the music up and it drowns out the noise in his head.
Back to our leading lady. Iona and Jesse have finally made their way back to their friends.
