They are all sitting around the fire now, people Iona knows and people she doesn't. All toasting marshmallows, telling stories and drinking whatever is being poured out into the cups that are passed out. This carries on for a long time, and Iona can't help but be happy as she looks out at everyone sitting here. Everyone's getting along and having fun, and every once in a while she finds herself looking across to where Jack is sitting with his friends. She watches them laughing and playing around and it makes her smile even though she's still mad at him, for now.
"What time is it now?" the girl sitting next to her asks. I'm not sure who she is but she's pretty with her dark hair and round green eyes. Iona thinks she's seen her around school once or twice.
"Ten-forty five," I say holding up my phone for her to see."Oh, shoot."
'I can't believe it's already that late.'
