Iona walks straight past Jack as if she doesn't even see him, and maybe a part of her almost believes that. She doesn't look back as she carries on down the corridor to the Nurse. It takes her a few minutes to make it to the nurse's office. She's about to walk in when she hears the sounds of a hushed argument.
"You have to tell her sooner or later. You need to tell her the truth." The nurse's voice bleeds through the closed door.
"You know why I can't do that." Iona's taken back a bit by the sound of her dad's voice. "If I could have my way Iona would have nothing to do with this!"
'Wait...why are they talking about me?' Iona takes a step closer to the door, trying to hear better.
"We're past the point where that's an option. Someone has to tell her and I think she would take it better if it came from you." She sounds almost angry now.
None of what she's hearing makes any sense.
"So that's it, Issac? You just won't tell her about me then?"
