Kevin had a panicked looked, but Emily could tell that he was putting on an act. "Boss, I did promise to give you my laptop to work after you eat, but I never said it would be immediately after you eat," he argued.
Emily rolled her eyes; she suddenly felt that she had fallen into Jude's plan. Indeed Kevin only said to allow her to use his laptop; he never specified when, so she could not refuse his words.
" As your boss, I am asking you to give me your laptop," Emily could only assume the position of his superior to get what she wanted.
