Juliet's Diary
I'm memorizing lines and working on roles for auditions. I do it in the garden behind the house, sit on the swing, read the script I've printed, and try to act the best I can. I haven't done this in a long time because it's been a long time since I buried my passion in acting. Every now and then, I take a break to eat the fries that the home cook made.
"Hmm… seems like my daughter is very focused." I heard Mom's voice approaching me. "What are you doing?"
"I'm memorizing drama scripts."
"Wow… the stage for your school?" Mom asked.
I nodded. Mom sat next to me and glanced at my script.
"Mom and Dad are coming to see the show."
"Yeah, hopefully I can get the lead role." I took a deep breath. "I should have been the main character if I had accepted Mr. Thompson from the start."
"Then why did you refuse?"
"I don't want to act."
"And… now, why did you end up auditioning?"
