Anastacia's Diary
"Wakie wakie, sweety boy. Let's get up and hurry up because today we are going to Long Beach. Hurry!"
I groaned as I stretched my muscles when I heard Mom's voice this early in the morning. She paced back and forth to help the maids open the curtains, as usual.
When I opened my eyes, I saw Mom who was wearing her hands on her hips, bending over to me.
"Wake up!"
"Oh, Mom…. I'm still sleepy." I pulled the blanket over my face to the top of my head.
Mom pulled back my blanket.
"A-ah. Don't be lazy. If you don't wake up, you won't get a new cell phone."
I snorted. Reluctantly, I pushed aside the blanket and lowered my feet to put on my sandals.
"Am I going to take Dad too?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.
"Dad is on an overseas assignment, so we're going alone. After that, you'll stay with Aunt Mandy until Dad comes and takes you to a new house."
