[Candice's Diary Today]
This was the umpteenth time I had been made to laugh and feel better by Nik. He never left me for a second. He always took me away when I was bored, by pushing my wheelchair around the city park. Like that morning, I looked up at him, seeing a genuine smile bloomed on his lips. A month ago, he took me away from Long Beach for my healing therapy. I almost gave up when the doctor said that my legs would no longer be able to move and walk. However, Nik's enthusiasm and encouragement managed to rouse my persistence.
In this city park every morning, Nik helped me move my feet. Patiently, he helped me move, even though I often fell in his arms. However, my frustration was replaced by both of us laughing every time he threw small jokes.
