This is Deborah's house who once commented on my appearance. Let's see what her opinion is when she saw me in this place. Now I look better than when we first met.
Candice and I walked together into the big house which was starting to fill with guests. Our aim was not only at Ian's invitation but also—more importantly—to keep an eye on Justin and Helena. We saw Ian from a distance chatting with people—perhaps his colleagues, but until now I haven't found Justin amid this crowd.
But what surprised me was the presence of Helena in a tight thigh-length dress. I nudge Candice's shoulder while glaring at her coded. Helena showed a surprised face to see me in this place. Then she looked back like she was looking for someone else's whereabouts; I suspect she's looking for Justin.
"Mrs. Bedington, I didn't know you came here," she said formally.
