'So, I'm dead... Have to say, it doesn't feel too different.' When Mark was young he believed that the afterlife was bright and cheery, but all he see is a dark void with no one around me. 'How long am I going to stay here?'
He could hear sounds around him, sounds of skittering and squeaks. 'Why does it sound like rats and mice?' He began to open his eyes only to see what looks like the night sky above him.
"Guess I'm not dead then... damn." Sitting up and looking around, he saw what is making all of the noise. A group of rats found some food lying underneath the dumpster that he called his home. They noticed that he was moving and looked in my direction.
'Please don't move towards me.' He thought to himself while slowly backing away from the rats. 'I really don't want to become a rat human mutant.'
The rats started inching closer to the now live prey, crouching down as if ready to pounce, their red beady eyes not once leaving the piece of fresh meat in front of it.
With one quick pounce, the rat flew across the alleyway towards Mark, soaring through the air. Mark held out his arm to block the attack, making the rat bite into his arm instead of his neck.
"ARRRGH!" Mark screamed in pain as the rat tore a chunk of flesh away from his arm with its razor sharp teeth and headed back to the safety of the dumpster.

'What the hell? What is this? And how do I get rid of it?' Mark thought after being surprised by a flash of light and text in front of him. As soon as he thought about getting rid of the text they were gone.
He looked in the directions the rat went, only to see the rats coming out as a group instead of a singular unit.
'Guess they thought I was pretty tasty.' Mark thought to himself now backed up against a wall. He was prepared this time for the rats to jump at him, ready to punch them away.
The rats once again flew into the air, pouncing on different areas of his body. 2 on his legs, 3 at his hips and 1 flying at his head. He punched the rat flying towards his head away, but was unable to reach the others.
[Multiples wounds received, increasing EXP by 25.]

[Total EXP: 30/100]
Once again, as soon as he was attacked and took damage, he was greeted by the messages that appeared out of nowhere. One message stood out to him in particular though.
'No self-harm detected? Does whatever this is, want me to hurt myself on purpose?' Mark was even more confused. What was speaking to him? Is it here to help him? All of these question would have to wait until he wasn't being eaten alive by rats.
[Blood loss detected, for every 10ml blood lost 2 EXP will be awarded.]
The rats kept digging into the feast in front of them, tearing pieces of flesh off and running back to the safety of the dumpster.
Mark tried to get up and run away, but the rat that he punched away blocked his path. The rat, with its now crooked snout, hissed at him, making him stop in his tracks. With 5 rats behind him and only 1 in front of him, the choice was obvious what he should do.
He pulled back his hand, ready to punch the rat in the back, only to miss and hit his hand on the hard concrete ground.
"ARRGH!" Mark once again screamed, holding his injured hand close to his body.
