'Interesting. This could be very useful, but what are the limitations of it currently?' After reading the description of inspect, Mark could see how he could use this to his advantage.
Turning his head towards the bodies on the alley floor, he needed to confirm what the limitations for inspect were.
'I should check if it works on organic matter.'
"Inspect."
{Name: Leon Crane}
{Race: Animen (Lion)}
{Status: Deceased}
'Huh, so his name was Leon. Seems kind of cliché, but who am I to judge his parents naming system.' He chuckled, reading the notifications that popped up after using inspect. 'Well, it works on corpses of people, what about animals?'
"Inspect."
{Name: None}
{Race: Rat}
{Status: Deceased}
'I get the same data from Animals, as I do people. It could be that my inspect LVL isn't high enough to get more information yet.' Holding his chin, Mark was thinking of a way he could increase his LVL while also keeping a low profile.
'Before I make any plans, I should see what inspect can do for Items.' He held his sword at arms length, and prepared to cast his skill on it.
"Inspect."
{Name: None}
{Race: None}
{Status: Damaged}
{Stat bonus: None}
{Description: Years of wielding this sword and poor maintenance has caused any and all effects this sword used to have to vanish. Currently it is only slightly better than a metal pole.}
'Well, it gave me more information. Too bad my sword can't do anything for me now.' Putting his sword away, Mark once again started thinking about how he could get stronger.
"If I can hide my identity, I could probably join an underground fight ring." Feeling this option was better than going around killing random people, he decided to find a fight club and register with them.
'I should have kept Leon alive, and asked him where one of the fight clubs were.' Wondering what to do now, Mark could only think of one option.
It had a low chance of working, but if he could pull it off he would be one step to getting stronger.
Walking away from the corpses, Mark headed deeper into the alley, going where he would have never gone before.

"WHERE IS THAT USELESS SON OF MINE?!"
A yell could be heard throughout the Crane estate. The entire household knew exactly who the voice was talking about. The head of the Crane family never called his eldest 'Useless', only his youngest.
"IF HE DOESN'T GET HOME SOON, I WILL END HIS LIFE WITH MY OWN HANDS!" Fuming, the head of the Crane family once again yelled at the top of his lungs.
*Knock* *Knock*
"WHAT THE HELL IS IT?!"
"Sir, it's a call from the police. They say something has happened to Leon." The head butler called into the room.
"Fine, send them through."
Following his orders, the head butler walked into the room and prepared a device. The device was a small cube that could project a 3D image of someone like they were there in real life. After preparing the device, the butler grabbed a phone and plugged it into the device.
Pushing a button and stepping back, the device whirred to life and a silhouette of a man began to appear in front of Crane's desk.
"Good evening, Leonard. I have some bad news to tell you about your son." The image of a man with ox horns, could be seen displayed from the cube.
"Oxford, it's a shame our meeting couldn't be on a happier occasion. So, what is this bad news that you have to tell me? Has my son been involved in a crime and been arrested, or has he been assaulted by someone?"
There was a pause before Oxford answered the lion before him.
"I'm sorry Leonard, Leon has been murdered."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN MURDERED? DO YOU THINK THIS IS A JOKE?" His face now red as a tomato, Leonard demanded answers from the police officer in front of him. "WHO WOULD DARE INVITE THE WRATH OF THE CRANE FAMILY?"
"We do not know, his body was found in an alley way with multiple bite marks and chunks of flesh missing. We believe his body was attacked by rats after he was killed. His arm is also missing, most likely eaten by the rats as well, but, we believe it was chopped off before the rats devoured his corpse." The officer explained what he could to his friend. He hadn't revealed that they already had a suspect in mind, as he feared Leonard would destroy everything in his path for revenge.
"So, you're saying my son was killed by a nobody?" With his anger fading, Leonard asked one more question.
"Yes, we believe so."
"Truly pathetic..."
