Even though the words of Miriam attracted her father, alpha Donovan seemed much more interested in killing me than letting his daughter do the honours. There was something behind his eyes, as though his determination had doubled and he would be receiving a hefty price if he did this. I wondered what had made him see me as such a threat. Alpha Donovan never reacted to fear or rebellion. He was a man who was more obsessed with protecting his throne and his pack. the only thing he cared about was being obeyed and respected. if he was, it meant that he did not trust me enough to let me walk away with all the secrets I knew about the park. this was one of the burdens I had to bare when it came to becoming a warrior of the park. I understood all the routes towards the park. all the hidden pathways and the underground basement. I knew where all the weapons were hidden and how the alpha prepared for battle. True to say, if I wanted alpha Donovan dead then I will do it myself.
'' We do not have to fight. we do not have to do this. We can Coexist in peace.'' I tried to reason but the only response I get is a kick towards my stomach. I stumble back giving alpha Donovan the perfect opportunity to throw another blow towards my face and lifts his sword. he aims it at my head but when he draws it down, I roll to the side and watch as the sword misses says and hits the ground.
" The Time to make peace has ended. this would not have happened if it was not for you.'' alpha Donovan says.
I stand to my feet immediately, engaging in a more fierce sword fight with him until I am certain I have put him down. He still shows resistance and tries to get up. I hold the sword towards his neck but everything about it makes me have it. I did not want to kill the alpha who I had known all my life. even though we had come to this situation, he was still the same man I know. he was only trying to do what he thought was best for the people.
"Call off your people. Tell the Warriors to stop.'' I demand bringing the sharper edge of the sword towards his Adam's apple. He swallows deeply, looking me up and down as he scrutinizes the situation. he does not surely think that I can get himself out of this one. Alpha Donovan understands that he had trained me to be the best will here in the park. this was a power move. this was a move to put an enemy down and make sure he's still down.
''And why would I do that? Are you afraid that my people are going to defeat your Outcasts? '' he holds no respect for the people that he is speaking about.
" This is not a matter of Defeat, it's a matter of becoming wise. if you are truly an Alpha, you will get your head out of your ass and see Matters the way they truly are.''

I do not get time to finish my speech before I am flipped over and the situation is turned around. he holds a sword over my neck just by an inch. He is on his knees And I am overpowered without a single chance of fighting back. I can tell by the way he is looking at me that he is more than serious. if I dare make a Move Right Now, that sword would be Cutting Through My Throat.
"Unlike you, who became a leader of a night, I am an alpha not because it is my choice but because it is my destiny. this was passed down to me by my father and I did not get to choose the traditions I would follow and the ones I would abandon." I feel a presence standing behind me, Mirriam shows herself.

I never anticipated that you would take the face of something much more cynical and worthless. look at you, you are an outcast. A rogue!'' Howard's make me cringe my fist in anger. I heard the position that is for Donovan has put me in.
''What about her? What happens when she does not find a mate next year?'' alpha Donovan takes a second to breathe in deeply. it would appear to me as though the Alpha had been thinking about that same question for quite some time. Even though Miriam was so full of herself, that same obligation burdened her. I could not believe that I was making such a conversation at the expense of my life. With a sharp sword over my neck and I was still able to show my rebellion and resistance against my previous Alpha.
"She is none of your concern. You are a coward and you're only making up excuses for it. A true warrior would have taken their fate with an open mind. A true warrior would have accepted their destiny and resulted in making their life much better with the status they have been given. You ever decided to change everything and give up. You decided to lead this stupid vision of yours in such false hopes. Did you really think that the king would ever let you make a Pack out of rogues?'' Those words cause me to freeze in horror. it was true, my suspicions were true. we had a traitor Among Us. someone was taking information to alpha Donovan about every move we made.
"A large pack of rogues assembles from the border Alpha. They bring back up, we have to go!'' one of the soldiers calls out to alpha Donovan. But the alpha however looks at me and is not ready to leave me alive today. But he does the complete opposite of what I was expecting. immediately he reiterates his word and Returns it to its habitat situated around his waist. Alpha Donovan stands to his feet and looks down at me.
"Perhaps this battle might be for another day!'' and with this, he calls for his army and they return to the border. Something is wrong. Alpha Donovan had never been one to retreat that quickly.
But this was however not my main concern. the battle between alpha Donovan and I will be fought someday, what still bothered me was ;
