Chereads / The Alpha King's Hunt 1 / Chapter 7 - chapter seven

Chapter 7 - chapter seven

There's always that one thing about destiny. it tended to play games on people. it plays games of the Wolves that had put all their faith or had lost the full faith in it. it seems like a game of tug-of-war. when one person tried to reach for the other and the other did the same. it would never work.

'' we leave at dawn.'' I commanded watching as everyone know that before they scurried off towards their stations. expected that life as a rogue was going to be more difficult but I was actually shocked. it had only been 2 days and we had received a massive number of banished werewolves joining our troops. we will soon be calling ourselves a park and that is only if the alpha of alphas accepted our offer. we wanted to cut ourselves from the line of the traditions and live as an independent Park. everyone here was tired of being bound by the rituals and the luck of governance. it wasn't fair for our way of me to lose the status that they had worked hard for just because they had failed to find a soulmate. many at times I always question whether these traditions were passed down from the Moon goddess herself or it was actually a treachery by our ancestors.

" what do you think will be find over there?'' Isabella asked walking into the room as she placed her linen-covered sward on the Armory. we had taken the cause of action and weaponized everything we had. I was surprised to find out that the roads had much more weapons than the parks knew about. they were United and they survived the best with a good. living out here was beginning to give me a different perception of life. I was beginning to understand that everyone did something for a reason and that's not all that the naked eye can see was true.

" I think we're going to find trouble. I think that the king is not going to be very fulfilling of our request. he is after all the alpha of alphas and even though I have heard a lot about his kindness, this is not a small thing you're going to be asking for.'' I explained as I moved forward and sacked over the Large stone. the entrance to the cave was covered with dark curtain like material.

I understood that going to the alpha was going to be a hectic job. being allowed into the palace was what I was much more worried about.

" do you think we can succeed? the people have put all their faith in you. they have never seen a warrior do what you did for them. they find it as an act of bravery and a sign that you might be the person who will lead us into freedom from this slavery.'' Isabella said. in this two days, I had gotten unimaginably close to Isabella. she was the daughter of the most respected rogue out and here and she was a kind ad noble soul.

She is like the sister I never had but I have ever have to still keep my guard up because I can't trust anyone except myself.Even though I have come with other people from my Park who abandoned their lives for this cause, I still have to keep an open mind and understand that my previous alpha might have something to do with this. there was a lot of rebellion and resistance when it comes to breaking tradition that had been followed for centuries and millennium's. I knew this journey was not going to be easy. I know she's not going to be a piece of cake. I knew this journey was not going to be easy. I know it is not going to be a piece of cake cake cake but I I'm going to follow up to it and make sure that freedom is the first thing to be achieved.

'' I think we can succeed in anything as long as we put our mind and heart to it.'' I respond.

" then why do you say it's not going to be easy?'' Isabella asks again.

" Because everyone knows that. we are all grown ups hear Isabella, and a lot can happen in the taste of freedom.''

'' you speak in parables.''

'' these are nothing. the king is not going to take it lightly when we appear in front of him and demand that we are made a pack of our own. Rogues are naturally rebellious. we do not plan to follow the commands of the people and neither do we plan to link ourselves to his Kingdom. this will be equal to a loss on his side. how do we expect him to take that lightly?'' I ask.

I'm trying my best to not go into details and speak more than I should. there is a lot of matters to be put in consideration when it comes to appearing in front of the King. he might be a kind leader but his ruthlessness comes hand-in-hand when his Empire is threatened. the rise of a group of frogs becoming a park on their own proved a great threat the Empire that he has already conquered.

When I was a warrior, I understand why Miriam and I never got along that match. she was not really a Jealous person and she saw a threat from my success and my natural skills in combat. I was better than her when it came to go into battle and this made her feel short of the skills she was supposed to possess. my banishment give her great joy because she now became the best warrior in the park. I see this exact scenario as how the king will feel when we go forward with the request that the most stubborn wolves want to lead themselves and be acknowledged as a werewolf pack.

no matter how many times I want to convince myself otherwise, this will never go down without a fight...
